❝where it all began❞

All boys were listening to the only girl quietly, trying to remember every word y/n said

"Henri brought Marie-Jeanne to his cabin, Marie-Jeanne was really injured, Henri let Marie-Jeanne sit, what caught the attention of the girl was all the herbs that were all perfectly organized on the table beside her, she took one of the bottles, Henri saw what she took and he immediately took back the bottle" y/n continued with the story

"what was in the bottle?" Jisung asked
"mistletoe." y/n answered

"Marie-Jeanne said "that was no animal." Henri responded "of course not you fool, it was a werewolf" for the first time ever, Marie-Jeanne wasn't the skeptical anymore, she was more open-minded when she met Henri." y/n explained

"how do I kill it?" Marie-Jeanne asked Henri
"a weapon that is big and long enough to go through that werewolf" Henri replied

"it's been days since the first hunting party for the beast occurred, Marie-Jeanne was more open-minded, prepared, and she had a plan"

"she gathered everyone that knew about the la bete, she proposed a toast. She poured the drink to everyone's cup and her brother Sebastien was helping her also"

"To honor the dead!" Marie proposed
"To honor the dead!" everyone responded back, all drank except for Marie-Jeanne, everyone was confused and disgusted by the taste of the drink, it was mistletoe that was in the drink. one of the men in the bar broke the glass he was drinking out of, it was Marcel."

"Marcel! Come with me to the well" Marie exclaimed, Both Marcel and Marie-Jeanne, as Marie washed Marcel's wound on his hand, she knew the beast wasn't Marcel, Henri taught her about werewolves, how they can heal in an instant. Marcel? Didn't even start to heal

"here, take this key" Marcel said while he took something from his pocket, it was a key "open that, you'll see what you're looking for" he continued while looking at a some type of basement."

"wait, I feel the presence of the beast right now, it's in the city." Jeongyun groaned, he has mastered to feel the heat signatures of other werewolves.

"someone has to go out there and distract it" Chenle panicked
"but we can't even make it bleed" Jeno responded

"but we can trap it" Jaemin suggested
"by mountain ash" Renjun mumbled but loud enough for everyone in the room to hear

"what about the story? I-i mean, shouldn't we hear the full story first?" Jooyan stuttered, he was beyond terrified

"no, if someone dies and that's because of us, now someone has to go to the center of Nurial and find it." y/n demanded, she was clutching her fists hard.

"woah y/n calm down, me and Jeongyun hyung will go" Haechan went to y/n and grabbed her shoulders gently so she would calm down

"fine... But try not to get severe injuries please" Y/n looked directly at Haechan's eyes, full of worry.

"we won't.... I promise" Haechan smiled at y/n, making the girl feel.... Relaxed somehow

"c'mon now, we have mountain ash in our place" Jeongyun said as he walks away

"don't worry y/n... They'll be fine" Jooyan reassured his youngest cousin
"how do you know that they'll be fine? It took nearly 4 years for Marie-Jeanne to trap it and kill it" y/n firmly looked at Jooyan, she was right. Non of them knows if Haechan and Jeongyun are going back alive or with injuries.
