Sweet and Sour

after school — weeekly

"Yejin, you're gonna make us late for school. Come on!" Jiyeon called from the bottom of the stairs to her younger sister. Jiyeon picked up her shoes and threw those on before grabbing her bag. She made her way out of the front door, waiting for her sister to get out so she could walk her to school before going her way towards hers. Thankfully their schools shared the same road, her sisters being the local elementary, and hers being the high school.

Once her sister came running out with her bag, they finally made their way towards the schools for the day. Their house wasn't far from the school, so they walked everyday together. Jiyeon obviously didn't mind taking her little sister every morning, Yejin was the most important person to her.

"Remember, you're going home with Sooyoung and her mom after academy today. So you have to be a good girl and behave today, okay?" Jiyeon kneeled down so she could fix her sisters jacket.

"Have a good day Jinnie, love you. I'll see you after school." She kissed her head before letting her run into the school so she meet her friends for the day. She made her way towards her school for the day. Half way there, someone interlocked their arm into hers. A smile grew on her face when she seen her best friend Sihyun. The two have been best friends since they were Yejin's age, around five or six years old. They grew up together practically, their families were close to one another so that played a big factor in their relationship also.

"Did you hear about who just broke up, Junho and Kyunhee." Sihyun gasped. "To think we all thought those two would grow old together."

"They were a cute couple. I wonder what happened between the two," Jiyeon wrapped her arms around Sihyun. "You can cut out cheating, neither of those two would ever cheat on the other."

"You never know, maybe one of them did," Sihyun shrugged her shoulders. "Anyways, how's Inhyuk doing?"

Jiyeon turned her head towards the girl, squinting her eyes, "you ask me every week about him. You already know how I'm gonna answer this Sihyun."

"I'm your best friend, I'm allowed to worry about you. Especially when it comes to boyfriends."

"I understand you, and I love you for that. But you already know how I feel about the constant question on how he is. I know you don't like him, but I do. It's been almost two years since we started dating, we're over that stage now. Just because he's popular and has many friends, doesn't mean he's gonna be some cocky guy. He has a heart, one that cares for me."

"Also, it's my first real boyfriend. Our relationship isn't gonna be perfect. We are gonna have our differences, especially us being total opposites in our social lives." Jiyeon affirmed.

Jiyeon knew where Sihyun was coming from, she totally gets her thoughts and worries when it comes to her and Inhyuk's relationship. The two had very different life styles. Inhyuk had a lot of friends, like, a lot. He was social, the life of the party, he had friends every corner. But Jiyeon on the other hand, she wasn't social like him. In fact, she probably had less than three friends total. But she did have a good impression on a lot of people from her school; her personality made her very lovable. If anyone needed a third hand, they could depend on Jiyeon to help them. Her heart came from a good place, she'd never purposely be a bad person to anyone, even to those who might have hurt her. She was the sweetheart of the school that anyone could go to, know her or not, friends or not.
