Sweet and Sour

raise me up — tempest

Jiyeon stretched her body as they jumped out of the bus after the three hour trip to the coast. They got there at the perfect time, the breeze wasn't too chilly, the sun was bright with no clouds, and the ocean wasn't raged.

An arm wrapped around her shoulders as she was swayed with the breeze. "Ahh, the fresh ocean air, the bright sun with not a single cloud in the sky. This is what life is about." Sihyun laughed. "Are you seeing this Ji, this is what you were going to miss!"

"Good thing a little annoying birdy wouldn't leave me alone for a week straight," she pinches her cheeks adoringly.

"I am that annoying bird and I stand with it proudly," Sihyun looked off into the sea with a joking expression.

"Hey Jiyeon," a classsmate interrupted their conversation, "someone told me you had brought a bottle of sunscreen. Is it alright if we used some?"

Jiyeon nodded, "yea of course. Pass it around for whoever wants to use it." She passed it to them with a smile.

"Thanks Jiyeon!" The classmates said. "I'll bring it back when we are done with it," she waved while running back to the others.

"Wasn't that your new sunscreen, the one you saved up for?" Sihyun eyed.

"It's fine, I don't think anyone realized just how sunny it was going be today." She shrugged. "They'll get horrible sun burn if they don't put any on, so I'll sacrifice my sunscreen." She chuckled.

"You're better than me, I would've said no," she shrugged playfully.

Jiyeon rolled her eyes, "big meanie... hey let's go take pictures by the ocean!"

"Hey!" Sihyun called over the guys who were talking, "let's take pictures before we get to the rooms. Jay, you have the best camera so set your phone up." She instructed him.

"Why is it always me? You guys are the reason I never have storage on my phone anymore," he whined but straightened up after Sihyun glared at him. "Haha, I mean sure, give me a second." He quickly propped his phone on the beach wall, and set the timer so he could run back into frame.

"Heeseung, move in or you'll be cut off." Jake grasped his arm and tugged his body into the frame properly, making him stumble into Jiyeon's side unexpectedly. They faced each other from the encounter, missing the cameras click.

"You guys suck a taking pictures. When I click the button, just pose, it's not that hard people," Jay clapped before running back to reset the timer. The other eight quickly straightened as Jay started it again before coming back in.

Jiyeon elbowed Heeseung on the side of his body, "it won't hurt you to smile a bit," she whispered through her own smile, not looking away from the camera as she threw a peace sign in the air. He looked down at her as she poses, the sun glaring directly at them. The sound of the shutter went off, they ran to take a look at the picture.

"You aren't even looking at the camera Heeseung," Sunoo groaned towards the other boy.

"Doesn't matter if he isn't, I look good in this so no need for a retake." Niki said.

"You won't look good anymore after I do this." Sunghoon picked up a hand full of sand and threw it towards them, and that's when chaos began.

A couple of hours has passed since they got there. After they left the beach, they found their rooms in the hotel they were staying at and got freshened up for their dinner at the local restaurant they reserved for that night.
