"Jungwon, I told you multiple times that I am perfectly fine." Jiyeon assured over the phone to her loving but concerned cousin. "I was just very tired and was in desperate need of a simple nap, that's all."

It was the next day, the whole meltdown she experienced in front of the concerned and unsure boys had passed but Jungwon has been calling her every couple hours since then to ask her how she was feeling. It was like clock work, not a single call missed.

It was understandable, it wasn't normal for something like that to occur and the fact it occurred when it was in front of others besides the two of them made him extra cautious and worried for her. He always seen her as someone high headed and confident; to see her physically shrink in pain wasn't easy for him.

"Have you talked with Sihyun?" The line went quiet for a moment.

"No, and I don't plan on telling her about yesterday's incident." Jiyeon replied. "Promise you won't bring it up in front of her or anyone else, please won. I don't want to worry her over something stupid like this."

"I understand that, but you should really consider it, she'll get what you're going through, a lot better than me or the others that were there." He explained. "It doesn't have to be now, but it should happen. It'll be good for you to talk about your feelings every now and then."

"I will, okay, just... not yet. You got to promise me now to stop worrying so much. I'm not lying when I say I'm feeling pretty much a hundred percent better than yesterday." Jiyeon laughed.

"Fine, just call me if anything pops up or you need anything at all." He sighed, "and if you really are better then make sure you're at school tomorrow or I'll think the worse."

Jiyeon chuckled, "sounds good, I'll see you tomorrow morning then, but before I end the call..." she cleared her throat before finishing, "could you apologize to the others for me? It was totally awkward and inappropriate for me to do that in front of them, especially since we haven't gotten too close yet."

"Are you joking me, I think they're more worried for you than I am. They've asked for me to check up on you because they felt bad they couldn't comfort you yesterday." He explained with amusement. "You have absolutely nothing to apologize for."

Jiyeon face widen, "really... they were that worried... for me?"

"Of course they were Ji, you're a ball of sunshine and seeing you like that was a huge shock, even for them."

Jiyeon smiled, "I appreciate it, I really do. Anyways, I'll stop bothering you now. I'll see you tomorrow morning, thanks again for everything wonnie." They said their last goodbyes and ended the call for the night.

She deeply sighed, her phone thrown across her bed as she plopped down into her pillow. The mere thought of having to even explain what happened, to Sihyun, was something she didn't want to do. Her best friends words were already playing in her mind, all things that have already been constantly said and discussed between the two throughout her whole relationship with Inhyuk.

She wasn't upset or even the little bit of mad at her best friend wanting nothing but the best for her; she'd be the exact same way if she was in a relationship. It was more so the fact that everyone seen her as either pitiful or some joke; a struggling girl who hides most of her daily life from those she wasn't close to, trying to keep her head above the water so she wouldn't drown. They didn't see who she was, how she was trying to survive; they just seen another typical person.

Most of the time she thinks she is floating calmly on her back as the waves roll over her figure like a blanket, but sometimes like yesterday's case, shes instead fighting to say above the water as the waves pull her down.

"Have a good day today, make sure you're a good student for teachers and do what you're told okay?" Jiyeon told Yejin as she placed her bag on her back, sending her off for school for the day. "I'll see you after school, love you."

She waved her off until she couldn't see her anymore and turned to make her way towards her school now. As she left the little ones school grounds, a hand swiped into hers and guided her towards the school.

As expected, Inhyuk had kept his words and got to her house so he could walk them to school, even Yejin. It wasn't about him trusting her anymore, but more so keeping her grounded, almost saying she should be grateful that he was her boyfriend and she should be appreciative of that fact.

It caused tension as they walked towards the school doors, creating this weird feeling that wasn't often seen. Inhyuk wasn't the one for public affection, especially at school.

When they finally made it inside, Jiyeon followed Inhyuk to wherever he needed to go before sending her off to her first class.

As they walked through the halls, her eyes caught a heavy set of another's, watching her intensely. His eyes fell down to stare at the two intertwined hands, before flicking an eyebrow up. She swallowed deeply before looking away from their eye contact, ignoring his presence as she walked further from him.

"I thought you hated public affection..." she whispered without looking at Inhyuk.

When the two first started their relationship, Inhyuk was pretty open with public affection. He'd reach for her hand first, hug her hello and goodbye, he'd even give her a small kiss when he felt like it. But, about a year ago, that all changed when he started avoiding any type of affection like that when they weren't alone, especially at places like school. It stopped and since then he would barely talk or look at her when they were at school.

"Don't mention it," his voice wasn't pleasant. "Pick up your pace or I'll leave you here." She sighed, doing as told.

She always did as told, it was getting tiring, right?
