You tap your foot against the cold floor like a maniac, impatience slowly nibbling at you like pesky insects from how long your friend Aki was taking to reply to you.
Glancing upon the wall clock that hung on the cream colored walls of the living room, the large hand striked already at 8 o clock but there's still no message from the male.
Even though you prepared so early for the planned movie night ahead, you were agitated from how everything will still boil down to you two not abiding by the time you two agreed on.
You were supposed to be at the movies by 7:30 PM, yet you couldn't just go there hastily if there's still no response you've received from the boy.
Screwing your eyes shut and heaving a long sigh, your ringtone chimes as the cellphone lit up, displaying Aki's picture and his contact number on the screen. You turn to fetch your phone from the desk table and immediately tapped the green button on the cellphone.
"Aki? Why are you taking so long?" You groaned as you watched the clocks' hands tick by with every second.
The male from the other line huffs, "I'm not feeling well." His voice was groggy and airy, you could tell from his tone that he wasn't at his best.
"Oh." You reply, a bit disappointed. "I know you really wanted to watch that movie, that's why I downloaded a pirated version instead. Wanna watch it there in your house?" He adds as a short, dry cough escapes from his lips.
Sitting down on the sofa, your lips twitch downwards. "But you said you're not feeling well, why don't you take a rest first?"
"I'm fine, it's just a slight fever. Anyways, I'll be going there now. Bye." He immediately hangs up the call before you could reply, why you only fidget with your phone from the condition of Aki's in right now.
