The garden was your favourite place to be, it was quiet except for the soft lull of bees buzzing from the dew covered flowers.

It was peaceful, your little slice of heaven on earth.

You turn a page in your old Shakespeare play book, you were reading the classic tale of Romeo and Juliet. A sad love story that always tugged at your heart.

Oh how you missed him. You missed Albert so much it hurt. And sometimes it made you angry.

You huff slightly and turn the page again while reaching out to pick up your porcelain tea cup. You sip the hot beverage with a frown.

It wasn't fair, Albert could come and go as he pleased but you had to stay here and wait for him like a good little pet.

You set the cup down and snap your book shut with an irritated sigh. "He can make supper himself."

Suddenly there was the sound of familiar foot steps, and a soft humming tone. He was home.

You could feel your heart pound with excitement and happiness but you forced it down. You weren't going to give in easily.

Albert smiled softly as he seen you, "There you are, you look so beautiful." He said while bending down slightly to press a kiss against your temple.

You practically melted under his touch but stood rigid and firm.

"You've been away for two days." You say while taking a step back.

Albert takes his top hat off and pressed it to his chest with an apologetic look "I know my love, I'm very sorry." He said while reaching out to touch your cheek.

You move your head to dodge his affection "Where were you?"

He drops his hand and sits down on the chair you were rested in earlier, "I was away on business, you know that y/n." He said while tilting his head.

You were trying so hard not to rush into his arms, you didn't enjoy picking a fight but his absence on a daily basis was getting to you.

"You always say business, but you never specify what your business is!" You say, voice going up an octave.

Albert calmly stirred your tea with his long finger and looked at you "Y/n, there's no need to shout. My business is important, I promise you it's in your best interest if you stay out of it."

You balled your fists "That's not fair! Why won't you tell me anything?" You say and flush slightly at how pathetic and whiny you sound.

Alberts lip quirked up in amusement as he lifted his finger out of the tea and gently lapped the liquid from his skin.

"Dearest, you're sounding like a spoiled little brat." He said cooly while leaning back in the chair and folded his arms.

You feel your face heat up slightly and grip your dress "Don't make fun of me, I'm being serious." You huff.

Alberts eyes flashed slightly, something you rarely seen unless he was very angry. And you succeeded in pissing him off.

He uncrossed his arms and leaned forward "Y/n, are you really acting like this because I'm not always home with you?" He asked softly.

You hesitated, he was acting calm but underneath he must have been fuming.

You nod and lower your head while rubbing your arm "Yes. I miss you." Your voice comes out small and pitiful.

Albert hums in response while reaching out for your hand and kisses your knuckles before pulling you into his lap.

"I understand." He said while grazing his lips along your earlobe "But that doesn't mean you need to act like a child."
