"y/n, do you cry when you think of me?" jaehyun asks.

you don't answer. he's drunk again. you made the mistake of answering your phone thinking that it'll be related to work but he's just drunk calling you. but you somehow can't find it in you to end the call.

"sometimes i still cry about it." he says. "i must be crazy."

"jaehyun you're drunk." you say. "go home."

"can i go to you?" he asks.
"no jaehyun. that's a little unprofessional since you're technically a client." you say.
"i want to see you." he says.

"but we broke up." you say softly. "you don't have to call me everytime you're drunk."

"can i go to you?"
"you asked that already."

"i'll buy you your favorite chocolate." he says.
"i have some here. so please dont" you say.

"i drank a lot. i'll probably forget this, you won
t...but this is the first time in a while that you didn't ignore me." he says.

"it's ok. you don't have to say anything." he says again.

"go home jaehyun." you say.
"can i go see you?" he asks again.
"but we broke up." you repeat the same reply.

"can't we undo that?" he pleads. "please? can't we?"
"no."
"is it because of doyoung?"

you pause. you wondered if it would be ok to answer him. he'll forget this in the morning anyway, you thought.

"yes." you say. "because i like him."
"aa much as you liked me?" he asks.
"that's none of your business." you say.

it was silent on his end.

and then you hear soft sobs...

"come see me please." he sounded like he was crying.
"i don't know what to do anymore."

you hear cars honking in the background.

"jaehyun...where are you?"

he sniffles before answering. "i dunno, some bridge."
"can i ask why? you always drink at your favorite bar with your friends." you ask,a little bit concerned.

"i'm alone."

you start video calling him,he answers after a few rings.

his face flashes but in a weird angle. he's beet red and his eyes are puffy.

"jaehyun,you're literally on a highway,go home!" you yell.
he chuckles while wiping his eyes. "i can't believe i even miss you scolding me."

you feel guilty, you're probably the only one who knows where he is. taeyong is the only person you know who can come get him but he's still sick. you take a deep breath.

"i can't believe i'm doing this. you're a PAIN in my ass." you scold him. "stay where you are" you say before hanging up.

he puts his phone in his pocket and sits down in the pavement and whats the cars go by.

you knew where to go,it was unmistakably hannam bridge. you flag down a taxi and ask the driver to go as fast as he can.
