MAEVE RUBBED THE SKIN UNDERNEATH HER EYES AS SHE ADJUSTED TO THE BRIGHT LIGHT.

After spending the entire day out in the sun, she quickly entered her room where she collapsed and fell right to sleep. Maeve walked across the room before slipping on her boots to head toward the washroom.

"Wagner," A loud voice called her name.

She turned around looking to see who called her name. It was Levi, he stood outside his office. Maeve walked over towards him, dragging her feet against the floor.

"You look disgusting," He spat.

Maeve looked down at her attire, her clothes were wrinkled, dirty, and falling off of her body. Her cheeks flushed red, she wasn't expecting to meet anyone so early in the hallways. Let alone a superior.

"We need to discuss important matters but not until you clean up." Levi dismissed her with a wave of his hand, shooing her away. Maeve turned on her heels and walked towards the washroom.

Once she was done she walked back over to Levi's office. She brought her knuckles up to the door and knocked. There was no response so she turned around and began to head back to her room.

"Enter," Levi's voice could be heard. Maeve pinched her nose bridge before turning around and pushing open the door.

"Sit," Levi said. She nodded her head and followed his instructions.

"The railroad has been completed leaving you useless," Levi blurted out. Maeve looked up quickly, she knew that the time would come. But she wasn't sure it'd be this soon. She had spent the last few weeks working hard on the railroad, and now with it done.

Maeve wasn't left with much, she couldn't fight yet and they still didn't trust her enough to allow her to live freely through the walls.

"I'll do whatever it takes," Maeve pleaded. There was no way Paradis was done advancing let alone done rebuilding. At least she could stick around until that was done.

Levi remained silent as he thought of the things he could task Maeve.

"Clean the barracks then we'll see from there," Levi got up from his seat and walked over towards his shelf, grabbing the piles of paperwork. Maeve nodded her head eagerly.

"I'll get right to it," She rushed out of his office and towards her room.

Although everyone rarely spent their time in the barracks, they were still filthy now that this was the least of their concerns. Maeve headed over towards the supply closest.
