DINNER WAS LONG DONE BY THE TIME EVERYONE HAD DRUNK WINE FOR THE FIRST TIME. Maeve was the only one not affected much by it. She had tasted alcohol before which was courtesy of living outside the internment zone as a Marleyan.

"I think I'm going to be sick." Sasha groaned as she doubled over the bucket. Maeve pulled back her hair and rubbed her back. "Why did you let me drink it," Sasha whined.

"I warned you but at least you're not the only one," Maeve said referring to the rest of the scouts. They were all lying on the floor falling asleep. Except for Jean, and Sasha. "How come you're fine." Sasha moved away from the bucket and leaned against Maeve. "It's not my first time drinking wine, you get used to it over time." She leaned her head onto the top of Sasha's head.

"I learned my lesson, no more wine." Sasha's eyes began to close. Maeve smiled and pulled her onto her lap, placing Sasha's head comfortably so she could rest.

Jean groaned as he got up from the ground. He say up straight and looked over at Maeve. She looked at him and tilted her head. "How are you still awake," Maeve asked him. Jean lifted his cup to show her hadn't finished yet. "No more," She reached over and took his cup, finishing the contents.

"I was going to drink that," He whined. Sasha stirred in Maeve's lap, she carefully placed Sasha's head on the ground. Maeve removed her jacket and placed it under her head. She didn't want to wake up Sasha so she carefully scooted away but not enough to bump into Mikasa who was laying down too.

"Come with me," Jean whispered. Maeve tilted her head and furrowed her eyebrows. There was no way he was sober enough to even get up. But he did, he got up slowly and held his hand out for her. Maeve grabbed his hand and he pulled her up. Jean's legs were still weak and struggled to carry him but he stepped over everyone.

They managed to walk out of the tent. "Where are we going?" Maeve whispered. He shushed her and continued to pull her along. It was dark out and they were the only ones still awake. Jean shushed her as he tried to contain his fit of giggles.

"We're going just over there." Jean pointed over towards the fields. The grass looked like it stretched for miles. It might've been a night but the grass looked just as green as it would during the day. Maeve didn't say anything as she let him lead her over. He lost footing, tripping over his own feet.

He went tumbling down onto the floor, pulling her with him. Maeve yelped as she fell onto the hard ground. He yelled as he clutched his leg to his chest. It was impossible to stop herself but she laughed at his reaction. Jean was being dramatic, he hadn't fallen that hard.
