You're right, I won't answer all your questions but I can answer a few. The Yeagerists are the ones who know of my plan, they work for me.

They'll steer clear of everyone, don't worry about them.

I know you're smart enough to not be manipulated but I don't want you to forget why you're here. You only made it this far because you're obnoxiously kind. The only thing you should be focused on is preparing for the attack.

I believe you lack what it takes to fight but you'd never let us take care of things ourselves in Liberio. By me telling you now, it'll give you time to prepare.

That was the last thing Maeve had received from Eren. It arrived a few weeks before Levi received a letter telling him the date they'd have to begin heading toward Liberio.

She was beyond furious with Eren. It pained her to even think about the letters. Maeve had hidden them away for the time being. Better out of sight and mind.

Maeve spent the past 8 months training hard, she had taken begged Mikasa to train with her. Mikasa happily agreed to help Maeve train.

While Maeve had tried to forget about Eren back in her hometown. The guilt of harboring secrets was eating her away.

She tried her best to remain positive and kind but even that was beginning to become hard. Levi had taken notice and he pitied Maeve.

He was watching as she dwindled. Once again it reminded him of Erwin, how bright he seemed when he had first joined the survey corps. Compared to his last few weeks when Erwin was alive.

It made him feel guilty for being harsh before. He found himself being the one visiting Hange and Maeve late at night with tea.

Hange and Maeve had gotten closer, and Hange relied on Maeve. She was just as important as Levi. With Hange losing their mind slowly, Maeve would scramble to help them put everything back together.

Even while Maeve was becoming tired, she didn't give up on Hange.

One night Levi staggered into the room, with tea but to his surprise, Hange had fallen asleep on Maeve while Maeve was cuddled up under Hange.

He gave the scene a soft smile before slipping out.

Just like promised Maeve visited Historia again with a gift this time. Unlike the last time, Maeve had seen her, she was visibly pregnant.

They spent the afternoon outside, enjoying nature and just speaking. Until it was time to leave again. Historia thanked her friend for the company before heading back inside to her husband.

While Maeve slowly stopped visiting Annie, she hadn't noticed until Armin had spoken to her about it. Maeve awkwardly chuckled saying it was because she was busy. Truth be told, she had gotten angry at Annie for not being there.

Jean had noticed Maeve's change in attitude but that didn't stop him from caring any less. He had secretly promised himself he'd be there for your ups and downs. Jean wasn't going to abandon Maeve, especially not now.

Sasha and Connie had noticed but they didn't like to speak about it. Just as they did with Eren, no one addressed Maeve's sadness.

"I think you should rest." Jean tugged at Maeve's sleeve. She turned towards him and rubbed her face.

"I'm fine," Maeve forcibly chuckled. Jean frowned and tugged at her sleeve again. "Please," His voice was soft. Maeve's face dropped and she brought her hand up to her face as she tried to hold in her tears.

Jean pulled her over towards her bed, he remained seated as he helped her slowly get into bed. She curled up to his side, her head laid on his stomach.

Maeve gripped him tightly in fear that'd he would vanish. They lay in each other's arms for the rest of the night and for the first time in what felt like forever she drifted peacefully asleep.

Jean had noticed and demanded they'd sleep together from now on. Maeve wanted to protest against him but she couldn't bring herself to. She wanted to spend as much time as possible with Jean.

If this was the only way then she'd sleep beside him for the rest of her life if he allowed her.
