I sighed at the thought of calling my husband. Well, the guy I made Mali and Calum with. He was irritating and loud. He could not do anything. I hated phone calls. I've always had social anxiety as a child, and it was difficult for me to talk to someone who I didn't like. 

In the middle of my thoughts, I heard David pick up. "What?" he said, loudly. I thought I heard a bunch of giggly girls in the background.

"David, is that you!" I exclaimed, pissed that we were still married.

"Yea...Brianna stop! Okay bye." he said either to me or those girls.

"David, are you trying to make me jealous? Because it's not working. I hate to ask, but I need to borrow some money from you. Calum has temparily dropped out of the band, due a feud. Also, he has this new girlfriend who made him spend $75 on some stupid quail. I need the money now, or I'm going to have to sell the tables of our house and make Calum and Mali get jobs immediately." I spoke, feeling sick to my stomach hearing the words out loud. 

"I'll tell ya later sweetheart." he said distantly. "Now Joy, what were you saying again?" asked David.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU WORTHLESS DOUCHE. I DON'T NEED YOU. YOU ARE IMBECILE AND I HOPE TO GET MY DIVORCE PAPERS SOON!" I yelled and slammed down the phone. Sick assholes deserve to die.

"What was that?" sobbed Mali, sprinting downstairs.

"Mali! What the- you're supposed to be in school!" I yelled again.

"Yeah Mom, I skipped while you didn't notice. Yesterday I got detention in Social Studies because the teacher thought I was giving this guy head under the desk. Honestly, all I did was pick up a pencil. I got really mad and left, and flipped the principal off." informed Mali, her cheeks flushed.

"Wow. I'm very proud of you my girl. Actually, it's great that you dropped off. I need you to do some things for me..." I handed her a checklist of part time jobs she'd needed and sent her off to her room for the task.
