River sat in the front of Thomas Shelby's car, Grace and Jace being practically kicked out once they got into Small Heath, the silence between them causing the woman to fiddle with the hem of Jace's coat.

The silence continued, even when they got to the woman's house- which confused River as she never told the man of where she was now living.

Tommy stopped the engine of the car, a sigh leaving his lips as he opened his door, waiting for the woman to get out before making his way over to the door, knocking gently on it.

River caught up with the man, tugging the coat around her shoulders as the door opened revealing Daryl Silver. The sight of her father caused the woman to frown deeply, pushing past both men as she made her way inside of the house, rushing up the stairs ignoring the call of her father.

"Tommy." Daryl nodded, turning his back to the man, making his way into his kitchen, not looking back to see if he would follow him. Tommy raised an eyebrow towards the man, allowing his gaze to follow where the woman went before shutting the door and following behind the man into the kitchen, taking the peaky cap off of his head.

"Daryl." Tommy countered back, sitting down at the table, eyeing the walls around the kitchen. The wall was bare except for one picture of the family from years ago.

Tommy lightly smiled at the picture, it had been hand-drawn- it had cost the family a fortune but they had gotten it for Cassandra for her last birthday they shared together- he remembered that day.

The two adults were crying as if they knew what was to come but Arthur, Tommy, John and River were too oblivious, all being too happy that they'd gotten to share cigarettes between them to have noticed how the adults looked sadly towards each other.

"Thank you, forgetting her." Daryl sighed as he reached up to one of the cupboards pulling out a mug before turning to Tommy who stared at the man, picking a cigarette out of its packet before lighting it with a match.

"Tea?" Tommy shook his head at the man, taking another drag of his cigarette as he eyed the man as he poured himself a cup of tea.

Daryl took a sip of the tea, scrunching up his face as the taste swirled around his mouth before throwing the cup and its contents in the sink, groaning.

"I've decided." The man spoke, turning to face the younger man, leaning against the sink as he did so.

Tommy sat up at his words, raising an eyebrow towards him as he let the cigarette hang between his lips for a second before putting it out in the ashtray that sat upon the middle of the table.
