Blake and Milo were woken up and told to pack their things. As they did, from the beds, she watched as her father and uncle loaded up the guns and weapons then needed. She didn't quite know what was going on, because they didn't really tell her, but she knew it was something big. Not only by the amount of weapons, but by the amount of stress her father displayed."Here." Blake said, passing a jacket to Milo. He took it and shoved it in his own bag they got for him. When they were done, they sat quietly on the bed and watched and listened to the adults.
"Big night." Dean said as he loaded a gun. He tossed it behind him and Blake caught it, she placed it beside her.
"Yeah." Sam replied "nervous?"
"No. No....Are you?"
"No. No way."
There was silence and Blake watched intently. The energy in the room felt heavy as she looked between her father and uncle.
"You know, could you imagine if we actually catch the damn thing? That demon?"
"Let's not not get ahead of ourselves." Dean said slowly
"I know. Im just saying....what if we did? What if this whole thing was over tonight? Man, I'd sleep for a whole month. Go back to school. Just be a person again."
Blake felt herself grow sad at the thought of not seeing her only uncle ever again. They had grown close and she never wanted to away from him for that long ever again. They had created a bond. Seeing her sadness, Milo slowly reached over and grabbed her hand.
"You wanna go back to school?" Dean asked
"Yeah, when we're done hunting it." Sam told him
"Huh."
"Why?" Sam asked, "is there something wrong with that?"
"No. No. That's great. Good for you." Dean said, dismissing him.
"I mean.....what are you gonna do when it's over?" Sam asked
Blake blinked back at the question. She never thought about anything other then following her dad. Doing what they do best. She always imagined her following her father. She knew that's what her's would do too.
"It's never gonna be over." Dean said, his eyes flickered to his daughter before he looked back to his brother. "There's gonna be others. There's always gonna be something to hunt."
"But There's gotta be something you want for yourself. Something different for Blake...."
"Yeah, I don't want you to leave the second this things over, Sam." Dean turned away from his brother.
"Dude, what's your problem?"
"Why do you think I drag you everywhere? Huh? I mean, why do you think I came and got you at Stanford in the first place?"
"Because Dad was in trouble. Cause you wanted to find what killed Mom."
"Yes, that, but it's more that that, man." Dean paused, took a breath, and turned back to Sam.
"You and me and Dad. And Blake....I mean, I want us to be together again. I want us to be a family again."
"Dean, we are a family. I'd do anything for you. For my niece. But things will never be the way there were before." Sam said, sadly. His eyes glossing over just like Blake's. She hated seeing her dad so sad.
"Could be."
"I don't want them to be. I'm not gonna live this life forever. Dean, when this is all over....you're gonna have to let me go my own way."

Hours later, Blake watched as her father and Uncle came back inside the motel. Immediately, she rushed over and hugged Dean. Carefully when she noticed he was hurt.
Dean hugged her tightly.
When she parted away from him, she noticed her grandfather standing beside her uncle. A soft smile played on her lips as she saw him. John smiled back at her.
However, after John had hugged Sam, the Winchester's were knocked down by a blinding white light.
Blake cried out in pain as she was thrown into the wall. Her head banging harshly against it. "Blake!" She heard Dean cried out
"Dad!" She called out through the screams of her grandfather.
She could feel as something scratched her cheek. Blood spilled out rapidly. "Dad!" She called out as she crawled over to Milo. The boy confused as to what was going on. He's never seen something like this before and it scared him.
Suddenly, Blake felt as her fathers arms wrapped around her. She held her cheek as she buried her head in his chest. Milo not far.
"Cover your eyes!" Sam shouted as he made his way over to the duffel bag. He zipped it open and shuffled through it.
"These things are shadow demons. So let's light them up." He called out as he put up a flare. He through it onto the floor and Dean is quick to move Blake and Milo out of the way.
Carefully Blake helped Dean up, as much as she could. And they slowly called out for John.
Letting out a cough, she felt herself being dragged out of the room by Sam. She held his arm tightly as they made it out.
"Alright. Come on. We don't have much time." Sam urged as he opened the Impala. He helped Blake and Milo inside before turning to his father and brother. "Soon as the flare's out, they'll be back." He said
"No, wait. Wait." Dean called out, "Sam, wait. Dad, you can't come with us." His eyes look to his daughter. He could see her in the car window. The gash on her cheek matched one on his own.
"What?" Sam said, "what are you talking about?"
"You boys....you're beat to hell."
"We'll be alright." Dean told him. They always were. With or without him. That thought alone filled his rushing mind as he tried to catch his breath.
"Dean, we should stick together. We'll go after this demon together."
"Sam, listen to me. We almost got Dad killed in there. Blake was hurt—-Don't you understand? They're not gonna stop. They're gonna try again. They're gonna use us to get to him. I mean, Meg was right. Dad's vulnerable when he's with us. He's stronger without us around."
"Dad." Sam said, tuning to him. "No. After everything. After all the time we've spent looking for you.....please. I gotta be a part of this fight."
"Sammy, this fight is just starting. And we are all gonna have a part to play. For now, you gotta trust me, son. Okay? You gotta let me go."
