Blake Winchester woke with a small groan. Turning on her side, she used the closest pillow and used it to block the light that was shining through the thin curtain of the motel room they currently resided in.

It had been a long week. One that Blake had trouble grasping. Her father and uncle were almost caught and arrested. If they hadn't helped, she was sure she would be sitting at Bobby's and would never see her father again.

She was glad that outcome never happened.

"Hey, rise and shine, birthday girl." A groggy voice bounced off the bright green walls of the room. With a defeated sigh, Blake sat up.
Rubbing her eyes she looks around the room.

"Where's Uncle Sammy?" She asks, just as beside her Milo began to wake up as well.

"He went to get breakfast." Dean told him as he put on his jacket. Despite what was going on with everything, Dean wanted to put a pause on it and take time to celebrate Blake's eighth birthday.

They hadn't spent it probably since she was five, and he hatted that she didn't get to spend her special day doing what she wanted.

"Go get ready. We have plans." Is all Dean says.

"A case?" She asked

"Nope. Just get ready. Both of you. Five minutes." He tells Blake and Milo.

Quickly sharing a look with Milo, Blake shrugged her shoulders and heads of into the washroom.

"Okay, now will you tell me where where going?" The Winchester girl said. She sat in the front. Something she hasn't done in a while, her head rested against that back of the seat as she looked to her father, who drove with a small smile on his face.

With a sigh, Blake reached over to the radio and turned it up. Smiling to herself as she mouthed the words.

Her father wasn't going to say anything, so, she decided it was best to just go with the flow.

After Blake had finished her muffin Sam had gotten her, Dean forced her and Milo into the Impala and drove off without a word. Going along with it, Blake wondered what her father was up to.

After a while of driving, the car finally pulled up to what appeared to be a small diner.

"Come on." Dean said, as he parked the car. The engine shut off and Dean is first to get out. He walked over to Blake's side and opened the car door for her and then did the same for Milo.

"A diner?" Blake asked, a small smile on her face as she held Dean's hand.

The bell chimed as they entered. Heads turned and watched them enter.
