Buttercup Einar is the daughter of a well known mafia boss. She, however, had no idea that her father ran The Lunar Dragons. So when her father dies and she has people chasing after her, she ultimately starts freaking out. Wouldn't you? Her father had died under mysterious circumstances, leaving Buttercup as the heir to be the next mafia leader. She's only eighteen and is having to deal with school, threats, people she shouldn't have to deal with, and so many other things.
On her last few months of senior year, she gets word that Butch Griffin—another young mafia leader—sent people to capture her. Butch lives a very deadly life, he's always on the run. When he hears word of a newbie taking over a rival mafia, a plan instantly hatched in his mind. He wants to make her his so he can control both his and her mafia.
Somewhere along the way feelings might actually bloom, friendships might spark, betrayal is certain, and heartache won't be forgotten.
