Jane's POV

I was in Potions class when a small folded paper landed on my desk.

I opened the paper. It read:
Tell Jake that you and him have to meet me in the library after class.

After class, I meet with Jake as usual and told him about Alice's note.

Lilly looked at us in a suspicious way and then walks toward us. Ever since the incident, she seemed normal.

"Hey you guys want to do anything after school?"

"Nah..." Jake starts. "We have to study for a test."

"Can I study with you?" Her eyes narrow for some reason.

Jake's skin flushed to a pale color.

"Sure." I but in, trying to save him from ruining this plan. "The more, the merrier, right?"

She smiles and we all head to the library, books in hand.

When we get there, we put all our books on the table we picked. "We'll be right back." I tell Lilly, grabbing Jake's wrist.

We meet up with Alice in one of the aisles of books near the restricted section.

"I think I've found a lead." She states once we get settled.

Jake doesn't respond." Hey, has anyone seen Lloyd lately?"

"No. But we can't worry about that now." Alice shushes him.

"Look." She gets up and returns with a big dusty book.

When she flips it open, we all cough.

"Here." She says, through coughs.

"It says here, that anyone could be doing work under the dark lords bidding."

"Dark lords bidding?" Jake asks.

I roll my eyes. "Voldemort. Haven't you heard of him? "

"Not something I've heard." Jake answers obnoxiously.

"Me neither." Alice said. "But he sounds interesting."

"Your parents didn't tell you as kids?" I ask.

They shook their heads. I was shocked by the news.

"Well then have you heard of Harry potter? He's a hero in our realm for defeating voldemort."

"No. Tell us."

"Harry potter was the chosen one. When he was a baby, Voldemort tried to kill him. That's why he has the lightning shaped scar on his forehead. But his parents fought back and died. Sometimes he said he could hear there screams. Dumbledore found out and sent Hagrid- the one that lives in that hut over there." I pointed. "To get him. Well Hagrid brought him back and have him to the Dursley's who treated him horribly. So they kept him from finding out who he was. One day, when he was about twelve, a letter came for him from Hogwarts, but the Dursley's took it edit he got to read it. More letters came. They were thrown into the fire place. Finally Hagrid came himself and delivered the message. Harry came to Hogwarts and was put into Gryffindor. He met Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, who became his friends...." I continued on with the story. "In the end, voldemort gets killed by Harry."

(A/n: let's just pretend Jane told them everything)

"Wowwwww." Jake said, holding onto the "w " until it turned into air.

"So Voldemort had the power to control people's mind?" Alice asked.

"Yes. He made people do horrible things. Then he made them lose their minds and kill themselves."

Her eyes glossed over at my words.

"Is Lilly being controlled?" She asked me.

"I don't believe so." Jake said. "She still acts the same."

"What if there's two Lilly's?" Jake asks suddenly.

"That's not possible," Alice says.

"Like being a demigod." Jake retorts .

"Actually," a voice said. "I think I have an idea of what it is."

....

"Lilly." Jake stammers, trying to think of something to say.

"It's okay." She says. " I heard everything."

"You're not mad?" I ask.

"No." We sigh in relief. " And I know what she's using. Polyjuice potion."

. ..... .......

"Does everybody understand the plan?" Alice asks me, Jake, Lilly, and Andy one more time. We were standing in the light of the second floor bathroom.

We all walked out and went our separate ways.
