Inside the ceremony hall, there was a large shrine inside, as well as a Shinto priest from the Himura clan. The Shinto priest would conduct the wedding ceremony for today, and as Izuna and [Name] entered the hall, their family members watched in awe. Kirusa squealed in joy as she watched her older sister walk arm in arm with Izuna.

"Fukiji, isn't she pretty? Ugh, they're just the perfect couple!" remarked Kirusa as she clasped her hands together in happiness.

Misaki overheard this and rolled her eyes at Kirusa. "She's not THAT pretty. She looks like she doesn't even want to be here," she thought with a bored expression on her face.

[Name] turned to look at Izuna who was smiling happily. She couldn't tell if he was faking it or not, but it looked genuine enough to fool anyone. Izuna was wearing a black kimono with the Uchiha clan symbol on the back of it, and he also had a thin red string tied to his ponytail. Even though it was simple, he still looked very handsome.

When they reached the table with the Shinto priest, Izuna turned to [Name] and whispered, "You look very beautiful, today. You make me the most luckiest man alive."

[Name]'s eyes widened with surprise as she felt his breath near her face. When he whispered that to her, she was able to get a closer look at his spiky hair too. "I wonder...no, it can't be...Izuna-san isn't that boy from the forest." she thought as she looked away from him. Izuna shrugged his shoulders and then faced the Shinto priest.

"We are gathered here today to join the hands of Izuna Uchiha and [Name] Himura in marriage. First, the two of you must take a sip of sake from these three cups and pass it on to your family members." instructed the Shinto priest as he handed one cup to [Name] and two to Izuna.

Izuna took two sips from the cups and then passed it onto Madara and Misaki. [Name] did the same and passed it on to her father and mother. Izuna was then told to say his commitment vows to [Name]. He coughed to clear his voice first, and then took [Name's] hands into his.

"Today, I marry the woman of my dreams. I promise to love you for the rest of my life in sickness and in health. I vow to respect, help, and console you in everything that you do, and I vow to bring you happiness always. Until death do us part, I vow to protect you until the very end. With my entire heart, I promise to always be with you."

From the corner of her eye, [Name] spotted her mother wiping away her tears with a white cloth. The Shinto priest merely nodded and coughed to gain [Name]'s attention.

"Now we will begin the agreements. Izuna-sama, do you take [Name]-sama as your loving wife till death do you part?"

"Yes, I do." he replied in a serious voice.

"[Name]-sama, do you take Izuna-sama as your loving husband till death do you part?"

[Name] bit her bottom lip and nodded. "Yes, I do." she said as she felt pricks of nervousness inside her body.

To end the ceremony, the couple offered small tree twigs called sakakai to the shrine god and exited the ceremony hall with their families. From the outside, the Himura and Uchiha clansmen cheered and cried out in joy for the newlywed couple. Ayuka and her daughters hugged [Name] for one last time with their eyes were filled with tears. Even though [Name] disliked crying in front of others, she felt small streams of tears flowing down her cheeks as well. She hugged each of them and told them to stay strong for each other. They obeyed and told her to write to them whenever she could. Before she left with the Uchiha clan, [Name] bowed down to her father and hugged him as well. This may be the last time she would ever see her family.

Izuna tugged her gently on her arm and led her away from her family. He was sad to see her cry for her family yet at the same time, he was happy to make her his wife. She belonged to him now, and that's exactly what he wanted in the first place.

As the Uchiha clan said their goodbyes and jumped up to the trees, [Name] prayed that her new life would be better than what she expected. She was a married woman now, and she had to carry out her duties for her clan even though it was against her own will.

Three hours later, they finally arrived to the great Uchiha clan's estate. [Name] entered the gates and felt a little out of place. It was so easy to get lost in the Uchiha clan's estate since it was fairly large from the inside. The wedding reception was supposed to take place in the dining area and the main hall for the evening, but before she knew it, [Name] lost sight of Izuna and the others.

"Argh...crap. I've lost them! Where do I go now?" she cried as she looked around.

Suddenly, [Name] heard someone laughing softly as it grabbed [Name] by the wrist and pulled her closely to it. [Name] gasped and quickly looked above her to see who it was. Izuna shot a kind smile down at her and laughed again as he wrapped an arm around her waist.

"You look a little lost, you should be more careful next time," he said with a grin.

[Name] huffed and looked away with a faint blush on her face. "I just lost sight of you, that's all." she replied.

Izuna raised an eyebrow at her words and smirked. "You'll never lose sight of me, I'll always be with you, remember? I'll show you around the clan's property tomorrow, but for tonight, let's just have fun at the wedding reception."

[Name] nodded and allowed him to lead the way to the dining area and the main hall. Even though she was no longer free to do some things, it wasn't that terrible to be married to Izuna. It could have been worse.

The wedding reception lasted all the way until midnight, and all [Name] wanted to do was go to bed. As she opened the door to Izuna's room, [Name] thought about the wedding reception. She had spent the entire night with Izuna and she also met important individuals of the Uchiha clan, including Misaki, a close cousin of Madara and Izuna. However, [Name] didn't exactly like or dislike her. She was mysterious in her own ways, and it made [Name] a little uncomfortable.

When [Name] entered the room, the first thing she noticed was that there was only one large futon. She face palmed and groaned.

Izuna came up from behind her and peered over her shoulder. "I won't touch you or anything like that tonight if you don't want me to, you know."

"Eek! Don't scare me like that!" she shouted as she stepped back from him.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. Anyways, let's get some sleep, we have a big day to fulfill in the morning." he declared as he crawled to the left side of the futon and pulled the blankets over his body. [Name] watched him but she still remained in her spot. To her, men were good at lying, and she didn't trust Izuna enough to believe him.

Izuna noticed this and sighed. "Are you coming to sleep or not?" he inquired with a tired look on his face.

[Name] shook her head and stubbornly said, "I want my own futon to myself."

"It'll look strange if we asked for a separate one. Just come here and go to sleep already. I promised I wouldn't touch you." he replied.

[Name] didn't budge and crossed her arms insolently. "I refuse to sleep with you! Men are tricksters, and they're liars!"

Annoyed by this, Izuna got up from the futon and frowned slightly at her declaration. Quickly and effortlessly, he pulled [Name] into his arms and fell back onto the futon while holding her tightly against his chest. She was now unable to escape from him.

"Ack! Izuna! Let me go! If you don't, I'll-"

"Be quiet and stop acting like you're still a single woman. You'll wake up the entire clan if you continue to do so." interrupted Izuna.

After struggling to escape from his arms, [Name] decided to call it quits and silently admitted her defeat to him. Izuna immediately fell asleep afterwards, but [Name] was still wide awake. Out of curiosity, she poked his cheek sheepishly and asked him if he was still awake. Izuna groaned and mumbled a "yes".

"Izuna, why did you choose me out of all of my sisters? Was it because we were the same age?" she asked quietly.

Izuna opened his eyes and loosened his hold on [Name]. "No, it's not that..."

"Then what was it?"

"I'm surprised you don't remember. I'll tell you one day if you still can't figure it out," he replied with a yawn.

"What? No! Tell me now! I want to know before I go to sleep." pleaded [Name].

"Nope, you'll have to figure out this one on your own. It's not even hard, [Name]."

"Pfft. You're such a loving husband." she retorted sarcastically.

"And you, a loving wife." he remarked as he turned his head away and drifted back to sleep.

[Name] began to ponder the possibilities and reasons of Izuna's decision for choosing her over her other sisters. She wanted to get to the bottom of it as soon as possible. It would bother her for days if she didn't. She finally succumbed into a comfortable position in Izuna's arms and started to fall asleep as well.

"For some strange reason, his arms make me feel safe...it sort of feels nostalgic..."
