It was a particularly sunny spring day for the wedding, and [Name] was excited for it. She had personal connections with the bride and groom since she had trained with the bride-to-be before, and she was happy to see the young girl marry the love of her life.

As Konami fixed [Name]'s hair into a cute and stylish bun, Umiko added some light make-up to compliment her facial features and light pink kimono. When they were finished, the stood back to marvel at their work.

"[Name]-sama, you look stunning! The hair accessories make a perfect match for your kimono too!" exclaimed Konami.

"Yes, I agree! Have fun today, [Name]-sama, we must go and help out the other maids with the other preparations." commented Umiko.

[Name] followed her two maids out of the room, and she walked down the long hall towards the direction of Madara's office. She had promised to meet Izuna there after his brief meeting with his brother, and the ceremony would begin very soon.

Before [Name] laid her fist on the wooden door, the door swung open and hit her forehead with a bam! [Name] immediately yelped and placed her hand on her forehead to rub it, hoping that the pain would subside soon.

"Ah, I'm so sorry [Name], I didn't see you! Are you alright? Where did I hit you?" asked a frantic Izuna.

[Name] continued to rub her forehead as she smiled weakly at her husband. "I'll be fine, Izuna. You just hit my forehead, so the pain will disappear soon."

Izuna gazed at her with soft eyes as he removed her hand away from her forehead. Carefully, he kissed the red mark on her forehead and muttered another sorry before brushing her cheek with his thumb. [Name] pleasantly smiled at his touch and hugged him around his waist as she inhaled his refreshing and familiar scent.

The two lovebirds stayed in their embrace for a long time until Madara came out of his office. Once he was ready, the trio left and headed for the main shrine room to witness the anticipated wedding of the season.

As everyone watched the dazzling bride walk down the aisle with her husband-to-be, [Name] smiled and stared at them in awe. The whole scene reminded her of her wedding day with Izuna, and she remembered how she resented the fact that she was marrying a man that she "didn't know".

"Oh Izuna, look at her! She's so pretty in her white kimono, I wish I could get married all over again too..." she whispered in his ear.

Izuna smirked at his silly wife and leaned in closely to her face. "Shall we take a moonlight walk tonight during the banquet? It'll bring back interesting memories."

"You're just saying that because I ran away from you on that night. I was a fool back then for doing that." she retorted.

Madara turned to the chatting couple and held a finger to his mouth to shush them. The ceremony was about to begin and the traditional customs would take place, as well.

During the san-san-kudo* ritual, Izuna passed down a sakazuki* cup filled with sake to [Name], and she hesitantly took it from him. [Name] wasn't the biggest fan of alcohol and she despised the taste and effects it had on humans. With a slightly sickened look on her face, she glanced over at Izuna to silently say that she didn't want to drink it.

"Just take a small sip, [Name]. It won't kill you. Do this for Emi-san and Hideo-san, it's their special day." he whispered gently.

With a small sigh, [Name] reluctantly brought the dainty sakazuki to her lips. As soon as she sipped the sake, she passed it down and swallowed it with force. The sake tasted bitter and warm, and it left a strange after-taste in her mouth, much to her dismay.
