CHAPTER SIX – Genetic Predispositions and First Time Indecisions

“I don’t care if they know,” Harry said. “Who was it? Who was my dad seeing?” Albus, Arthur and Molly all shared a dreaded look. “Please tell me. Please…?”

“Alright. The boy your father was seeing, Harry, was…Lucius Malfoy,” Arthur said. Harry’s eyes went wide and he dropped everything he was holding as his jaw dropped and he took three steps back to be against the sink with the look of aghast. Ron snickered and Hermione looked in total fear.

“Malfoy?” Harry asked in a whisper with wide eyes. “Oh my god…no…”

“We wanted to tell you later, Harry,” Molly said trying to comfort him. Harry was still leaned against the sink in total unmoving, unblinking shock hardly breathing.

“Oh my god…,” Harry breathed.

“Harry, they were boys,” Albus said. “You are aware that the Malfoys are highly regarded for their attractive features. Even Lucius’ father and grandfather were stunning males. I knew them both.”

“Albus, please, oh god, don’t tell me that you dated any of them,” Harry winced and closed his eyes for the answer.

“No, I did not,” Albus said.

“Thank you, god,” Harry whispered. Ron laughed with Ginny and Hermione sat more quiet and pensively.

“Whoa,” Ron said with a grin to Ginny. “Puts a new spin on the Potter and Malfoy thing, doesn’t it?” Ginny laughed with Ron again. Harry just stood in some horror-struck and astounded state with his eyes closed

“I do not believe this,” Harry said softly. “Why did you tell me that?”

“Because you asked,” Albus said. “We tried to persuade you against it.”

“Don’t listen to me!” Harry yelled. “What do I know? I’m a seventeen year old idiot! I think I’ve proven that many times!”

“Calm down, Harry,” Arthur said kindly. “They were only boys and as you know many wizards are bisexual. They dated for only a few months. Six months maybe.”

“Months?!” Harry was in wide eyed disbelief. “Dated?!”

“They did fight a lot,” Molly said in her clueless way.

“Oh there’s a shock,” Ginny giggled with Ron.

“Oh my god,” Harry winced. “This cannot be happening. I don’t believe it.” Harry looked to Albus with the look that told all he was thinking.

“Would you like to talk about this before I go?” Albus asked.

“I never want to talk about this again. Ever,” Harry said. “My whole existence has just been redefined in a matter of minutes. I’m suffering some type of indefinable gender-based genetically catastrophic psyche disrupting Malfoy…I mean malfunction! Oh god…” Ron, Hermione and Ginny almost fell out of their seats with laughter as Harry winced at the Freudian slip and slid down the cabinetry at his back to flop in the floor where he wrapped his arms around his knees and put his head on his arms with a groan of humiliation. “Kill me somebody. Please?”

“There’s no reason to be upset, Harry,” Molly said kindly before giving her children a look to be quiet. That look included Hermione. “It was years ago and before James and Lily had begun to date.”

“It was right before that, wasn’t it?” Arthur asked. Harry groaned loudly. “Sorry.”

“Harry, I think you and I need to discuss this,” Albus said. Harry’s head was still on his arms with his face hidden.
