Beginning note: Okay so I realized that Penn State University isn't the one that's known for law, it's Upenn LOL. This is just a slight change related to the school that Jiang Cheng attends, nothing major that'll influence the plot.
"Her name is Wen Qing. She attends University of Pennsylvania. The same one Jiang Cheng attends. She's studying for a medical degree there," MianMian says. "We only just started talking though."
"I should ask if Jiang Cheng has seen her," Wei Wuxian says.
"Different majors, different classes though, right?" Nie Huaisang questions.
"Depends on whether he finished in Gen eds," Wei Wuxian replies. "Jiang Cheng did. He took APs. Either way, college is so big. What are the chances that he's seen her? I'll text him just in case though." He takes out his phone and shoots Jiang Cheng a text message. Then his finger hovers over the contact for Lan Wangji. He hesitates for a few seconds before pressing on it and typing out a message.
Wei Wuxian: Did you get back to campus okay?
He puts the phone down and begins focusing on his homework. He hadn't gotten much of his essay done the other day and it was due next Monday. He manages to get most of the intro, first and second paragraph done before he goes to take a shower. By the time he is finished, it's almost midnight. He lies in bed, scrolling through social media such as Facebook and Instagram.
Lan Wangji has followed you back.
Wei Wuxian blinks at the Facebook notification and proceeds to scroll through his posts. On instagram, there were only a few photos of naturistic sceneries; there weren't any on his Facebook account. However, on his profile, there was a link to another person: Lan Wangji's brother, Lan Xichen. Wei Wuxian can see that he is friends with Nie Mingjue.
"Interesting," He murmurs to himself.
"Wei-xiong, you're not asleep?"
"Me? Nope. It's too early for me. I guess Wangji-xiong went to bed early because he didn't reply to my text yet."
"Do you think he'll reply?" Nie Huaisang laughs from the other side of the room. "You may be too much for him to handle, a reserved guy like him met with a guy like you who has endless energy?"
"He tolerates me just fine. I always serve him his drink and he doesn't seem to mind."
"Oh, Wei-xiong, that's just proper courtesy. Technically as a customer, he can complain, but he doesn't. Somehow you've managed to bump into him outside of work. Tell me." Nie Huaisang sits up from the bed and stares over at Wei Wuxian. "What did you do with him yesterday? Other than annoying him into giving you his phone number."
"I didn't annoy him. It was his own choice. We were making a study group."
"Why would a Juilliard student willingly make a study group with Bridgeford University students? We're...not as high-class."
"This isn't the 1800s, Nie-xiong. We don't live in a society with hierarchy and classes. Just what on earth have you been learning in class? Besides, we shouldn't treat them differently just because Juilliard is a high end school. They're not in any way intimidating. Qin Su is very nice and outgoing!"
"Really? Then introduce me to them next time." Nie Huaisang flops his head back onto the bed.
"Sure. Just join us at the public library next time. I'll let you know when we'll all meet up again.
"Okay! Good night now."
"Good night."

"Huiasang, you finally come to visit me at work!" Wei Wuxian greets him as he enters the store. He had been working here for a month now and his friend had finally come to visit.
