Flashing red and blue lights illuminated my apartment telling me that the police and Spencer's team were pulling up outside. I was stood, cowering behind Spencer in the living room.

"I'm going to unlock the door Rosie so that they can come in okay?" Spencer said warily. I didn't respond and I didn't release my vice like grip on his arm. When he started to move away from me my grip only tightened, keeping him still.

"Rosie." He sighed, turning to face me. His brown eyes started into my green ones. A few tears escaped my eyes before I'd even had the chance to process that I was crying. Quickly, I pulled him in for a desperate kiss. I wanted to feel anything that wasn't the consuming fear making it's way through my body. Spencer was hesitant to kiss me back but quickly reached up to cup my face and reciprocate my needy advances. Our heated moment was only interrupted by the sound of heavy footsteps outside. Spencer pulled away slowly, eyeing me with concern before letting me go and heading towards the door.

"Hey are you guys okay?" Emily asked as she pulled me in for a tight hug which would have been pleasant if she wasn't wearing her hard bulletproof vest. Rossi entered after her and gave both Spencer and I smiles. I watched as Rossi put away his gun and walked straight towards Spencer, who still had my cell.

"I'm fine, Rosie is a bit shaken up but we're okay physically." Spencer answered for me when I found my mouth was too dry to even form words. After swallowing hard a few times I turned to face Rossi,

"We didn't even know there was anyone outside. I didn't hear anything or see anyone." I told him.

"Where's everyone else?" Spencer asked.

"Hotch, JJ and Morgan are outside with the police. They're checking to make sure the unsub isn't still around." Emily answered, putting her arm around me and leading me back to the couch to sit down. I could tell she was trying to get me to relax but I couldn't.

"What have we got?" Hotch asked as he walked through the front door, he was closely shadowed by Morgan and JJ. Morgan walked straight to Spencer however JJ came straight to me and Emily. She gave me a warm smile and squeezed both of my hands in hers.

"Rosie just received this." Spencer told his team before showing them the photo that still lit up my phone screen. "I think it's from the guy who killed her family." He was speaking quietly, maybe so I wouldn't be able to hear them but I wanted to be part of the conversation so I went and stood beside Spencer, forcing my way into their huddle.

"Let me call Garcia." Morgan said. "We can try and get a hit on the number that sent it." The team all nodded in agreement. Derek pulled put his cell and dialled Penelope on speaker.

"Hey baby girl, I need you to work some magic for me."

"Oh sugar, anything for you." Penelope's chirpy voice came from the other end. Spencer had told me about Derek and Penelope's flirtation but hearing it first hand made me smile.

"I need you to trace a cell number for me." Morgan told her before reading the number out loud. On the other end I could hear Penelope typing furiously and I could only imagine how many screens she had in front of her in her FBI office.

"Okay so that number is from a prepaid cell phone. It was bought today from a mall twenty miles from here. The buyer paid in cash so I can't track any credit cards. It was registered to a man named Adam Thompson but I can't find any record of an Adam Thompson living in this area in the last five years so it's likely a fake name. The cell GPS wasn't turned on or activated after purchase so I have no idea where it is now." Penelope spoke so quickly I was surprised I managed to get all the information.

"Do you know anyone named Adam Thompson?" Hotch asked me. I shook my head.

"No but I used to work with an Amanda Thompson at the hotel." I told them.
