Summary: Tony and the kids surprise you.

Notes: This is the 2nd part to Family Zoo Day.

~~~
The night after the day at the zoo day was a success. And before you and Tony knew it, you had a little boy, Parker, in your house.
Morgan absolutely adored Parker. Even as a two year old, she tried to help with her younger brother. Parker, thankfully, did not get his father's tendencies for staying up late. He was a sleeper, which made you very grateful after having to still deal with Morgan's late night antics.
Morgan was now four and Parker two, and together they were inseparable. They frequently were caught in trouble together. Which, most of the time, made Tony laugh and you angry.
You were currently making dinner for the family. And Tony was supposably watching the kids. As you worked, you could hear them all playing and laughing in the other room. You smiled every time you heard them, glad that they were all getting a long and making memories.
A few minutes later, they got quiet. You weren't very concerned until the silence became too long, almost suspicious.
"Tony," you called, "I hope you're not teaching our children any bad habits."
But there was no response. Not even the slightest giggle. You huffed as you set the knife you were working with down and started out of the kitchen. You called their names as you searched in each of the children's rooms, the playroom, and even your own room. They were all empty.
You furrowed your brows as you turned back around to the kitchen. As you headed down the stairs, you heard whispers and quiet giggles coming in the direction of Tony's office. Curious, you followed. As you pushed open the door, three bodies, each with their own matching Iron Man suit on, jumped out at you. You jumped back and screamed. Your three family members started instantly laughing.
"What the-" You panted, still trying to calm your racing heart. "What the crap is this?"
"Dada thought it would be fun to trick Mama," Morgan answered, giggling.
"Oh did he now?" You raised an eyebrow at your husband, who instantly knew he was going to be in trouble once the kids went to bed.
Parker wobbled up to your legs, more stable though than usual, clearly thanks to the metal suit.
"Mama," he laughed. You bent down and picked him up. "Wike?"
You couldn't help but chuckle at how cute your son was. You pressed a kiss to the side of his helmet. "Yes," you answered. "Now, these are not toys. Have your Dada get you out of these things and washed up for dinner."
"Yes, Mama," Morgan replied, coming up to hug your legs. You reached your arm down to hug her.
"I want to join in," your husband whined, moving in.
"Oh, no," you replied, stepping back with your kids. "We'll talk about the suits tonight, mister." You handed Parker over to Tony. "Better hurry and get them cleaned up or you're sleeping on the couch."
"Yes, ma'am."
You walked out to go finish cooking, trying to get the worst case scenarios that were playing in your head out. While you were in the kitchen, Tony took the suits off the kids.
"Is Mama mad at Dada?" Morgan asked.
"Yes," Tony responded. "But it's okay. I know how to make her forgive me."
After dinner, you put the kids to bed while Tony worked on the dishes.
"When were you going to tell me that you made them suits?" You questioned, leaning back against the counter behind Tony.
"Today?" Tony winced. "I just thought- well... in case anything happens, they'd need one."
"What's a two year old going to be able to do in a suit?"
"I have protocols in place for every scenario I could think of." Tony wiped his hands and turned around, mirroring your posture. "And he wouldn't be in charge of anything, FRIDAY would."
You scoffed. "And that's suppose to make it better."
"Look, honey, I'm sorry," Tony moved, running his hands up and down your arms. You didn't move or make eye contact. "I should have talked to you before. But you know how I get. I get a worst case scenario in my head and I have to do something to stop it before it happens."
"I just... they're my babies..." You looked up at the ceiling, trying to stop the tears that were forming. "Seeing them today in suits... I-"
"You imagined them out fighting." You nodded. "Oh honey," you let Tony pull you into him, wrapping your arms around him, "I'm so sorry."
"They're just my little babies."
"I know, I know. And they always will be. Nothing I do will change that." He held a kiss to your head. "I'll hide the suits. They'll be just for emergencies."
You guys swayed a little as you held onto each other. The silence was welcome as you two stood there.
"What did you think, though, about the colors?" Tony finally broke the silence.
"What?" You pulled away, but not too far to let go of your husband. "The colors of the suits?"
"Yeah, the red and black with the hint of yellow. I was thinking that we could basically be the real life-"
"Incredibles?" You laughed. "Are you serious?"
"Very."
"You know that there's five of them, right? And only four of us?"
"We could change that." Tony slowly pushed you up against the fridge. "If you wanted to."
If there was one thing you've learned after your many years with Tony, as that there were very few times you could say no to him. Especially when he uses his big, brown eyes to bore into your soul.
"As long as you're there with me through it all, Mr. Incredible," you smiled.
Tony pressed you further into the fridge as he kissed you.
"Well then," he smirked. "Let's see you work your magic, Elastigirl."
