Barnes POV:
The two Avengers stop at a red light 15 minutes after we leave
"You're making a mistake James" Natasha says calmly, turning to me
"Trust me Nat, it's for the best. I won't be able to hurt you or anyone else"
She doesn't reply
Sam peaks at the rear view mirror
"Hey Bucky, look" He stares at the mirror for a bit
"What?" I glance behind me to see Steve running towards the car
"Bucky! Bucky wait!"
Nat gives me a look that says 'you'll regret it if you don't do it now'
I reluctantly get out of the car
Steve stops running
"You have every reason to be mad at me" Cap speaks
"I'm more angry at myself than you"
"Where you going?" Rogers worries
"I don't know yet. Another country. All I do is make other people's lives worse Steve"
He takes my hands
"You mean the world to me Buck. Not even Peggy can replace you"
"Why did you choose to stay though?" I ask
"Because I love you"
My eyes light up
"Can we make it work?" Cap says
I frantically nod and pull Steve in for a kiss. He kisses back
"I love you" We both say at the same time once we break the kiss
We're in tears of joy
