Alex and Keagan

Chapter 9

After grabbing my stuff, and slipping out of the house, I made my way back home. It was only a couple of blocks from Alex's house and I was there in no time.

My dad's car wasn't in the drive way, so I'm guessing he is on a business trip, which isn't surprising. He is never home.

I took a deep breathe and walked into the house. It was quiet when I walked in, but I could hear the tv on in the game room. I set my stuff down and walked towards the room. I was surprised to see my best friend all over my brother basically sucking his face off.

I coughed to get their attention. Monica jumped off of Henry's lap right away. "OMG keagan you scared me" she yelled.

She ran over to me and brought me into a hug. "Where have you been" she asked. I shrugged out of her hold.

"Nowhere" I mumbled. I slumped down onto the couch farthest away from Henry.

We sat in silence for a minute and I couldn't take it anymore. "What the actual fuck is wrong with you Henry" I screamed at him. I couldn't keep my anger in anymore.

"I-" Henry started but was cut off when a tired looking Alex ran into the room.

"Keagan" he sighed. "Thank god"

Wow. He actually came after me.

"What the fuck are you doing here Alex" Henry asked surprised to see his best friend here. I was surprised too, I didn't think he would come all the way here to find me. I probably should have told him I'm leaving, but I love being dramatic. It's what I'm best at.

Alex completely ignored him and walked over to me. "Don't leave without telling me first" he whispered.

"What are you talking about?" Henry asked still confused. "She was with you?" He asked now angry.

"Yeah, she stayed over because she didn't want to come home to you, and her best friend just happens to be sucking your face off. So she couldn't go to her either." Alex defended me. Wow this is all very shocking, but I fight my own battles.

"Look Henry I came home to talk, so talk already" I said looking over at Henry.

"I'm sorry sis, I really am sorry" Henry said using his serious voice.

I didn't say anything so he continues. "You know I would never do anything to hurt you. I just wasn't thinking at the time. I thought it would all be one big joke that we could laugh about" he said laughing attempting to lighten the mood.

"But then I realized what a complete mistake it was. I regret it I really do. It wasn't even my idea. It was all Garrett, but I'm not going to blame the whole thing on him because I was fully responsible for it too" Henry said. "I just want you to forgive me. Please Keagan, you know we never fight for long"

Henry got up out of his seat next to Monica and brings him into a bear hug, and I hug him back.

I forgive him. I have too, even though he pulled a dick move, I still love my brother.

We fight a lot, and we just make up the next day. This was the first time he has actually apologized and I can truly see that he means it.

"I forgive you, asshole" I whispered. "But you have to do everything I say for a week"

He groaned. "Come on Keagan! Please don't make me, I was already punished by dad" he complained.

"To bad" I said smirking.

We let each other go and I turned to see Monica and Alex still standing there. I guess I have to talk to her now.

"Let's go to my room" I said to her and we walked out of the game room and down the hall to mine, leaving Alex and Henry behind. Hopefully Henry doesn't kill Alex he seemed pretty pissed.

Monica sat in her usual spot on the bean bag in the corner, and I sat on my bed.

"So..." I said. This is extremely awkward. As long as I've known Monica we have never been in a fight before, it's pretty weird.

"I'm so sorry Keags" she said. "I had nothing to do with this I promise you. I was going to go after you but Henry said to just leave you be."

I sighed. I have no real reason to be mad at her. "I'm not mad at you Monica" I told her and a huge smile spread on her face.

She ran over to the bed and wrapped me in a big hug. "I missed you Keags! I have so much to tell you. Your brother might be an ass to you, but he is treating me like a princess"

"Ew! Can we not talk about this!" I grimaced. "I don't want to know what you and my brother do, especially sexually"

She laughed. "But it's sooo good"

I plugged my ears. "Ewwww stop!"

We laughed together like nothing ever happened, and this is why she is my best friend. She can always make me laugh.

"So tell me how you ended up at that hotties house" Monica said.

I scoffed "you do have a boyfriend you know"

"So? That doesn't mean I still can't look" she replied.

I rolled my eyes. "Don't let Henry hear that he will kick every guys ass that comes 10 feet near you"

"True, but don't change the subject" she yelled.

"It's complicated" I sighed.

"Good I have all day" she said.

I told her the whole story, how he helped me, professed his love to me, and was just the sweetest to me, but also how I was very specious about it.

I have no idea what I'm going to do. I guess I'm just going to go day by day at this point. Alex has a lot of proving to me, and I'm excited for it.

"Whatever happens I'll be here for you" Monica said wrapping me in a hug.

"Thanks" I whispered. All of a sudden there was a knocking on the door.

Henry opened the door without permission, what else is new.

"Hey can I have my girlfriend back" Henry said with his big smile on his face! That's still my smile.

"Yeah whatever" I said and pushed her out of my room. She has had enough of my problems for the day.

She mouthed 'thank you' as Henry pulled her out of my room "oh Alex is still here Keags he said he wanted to talk to you" and he winked.

I hate when people wink, and my brother is not good at it. He probably thinks he looks attractive when he does that! I really wonder what Monica see in him!

I walked back down to the game room to see Alex sitting on the big couch watching Jersey Shore reruns. I sat down on the couch next to him, and he brought me closer to him, wrapping his arm on my shoulders. I cuddled in closer to him and just watched TV.

"I was so worried" he whispered. "I had no idea where you went. Promise you'll never do that again"

"I promise" I whispered
