Chapter 3: The Jazz Shop! Part 1☕

Alexander was all ready for his first day at work and he was also excited to see the girl again. Alexander got in his dark red wine suit, brushed his hair to perfection and put on his best smile, like his mother always told him "they can break bones and leave scars, but they can never take away your smile!" and with that Alexander was all ready for his first day.

Alexander set off to work however he did have to get up quite early so everyone could hear his voice for breakfast, so the shop wasn't open yet and because the shop was not open he could not see the girl to ask her out, however knowing Alexander he would properly back out of it, as soon as he sees her. Alexander arrived on his 1st day at work and he asked the receptionist about the girl who came in yesterday.

"Oh her, she's a cutie that's for sure, her name is Charlotte but all her friends call her Charlie she actually prefers that name, Charlie works at the jazz cafe downing steet and all of us go down there to get coffee or grab something to eat at dinner time. It's a lovely little coffee shop you should go there sometime." James said and Alexander could almost see the coffee shop when James was describing it to him.

"OK now considering that we are now Co-workers you call me James I will be your receptionist and if you need to know where to go, I can tell you," said James Introducing himself.

"You need to go through the double doors down the corridor and it should be the room on the left there. Inside the room should be a script there, just follows the script and you should be fine." Said, James.

"Thank you, James, that was most helpful," said Alexander.

Alexander wanted to go to the coffee shop at dinner, however, he had so much catching up to do since he's the new guy, that he didn't have time to get lunch.

After the long day at work, he decided to drop by the jazz shop. As soon as he walks in, he could hear the little bell ring to let the staff know that a new customer had arrived, and there where soft jazz playing in the background (fly me to the moon was playing) and also the shop was so warm, comfy and relaxing, he could have gone to sleep forever. The shop smells like cinnamon and nutmeg and on the counter, they had all kinds of baked goods cookies, cakes and pastries.

As Alexander looked at the counter he notice that no one was there until.... he heard humming in the back, he pressed the little bell on the counter so he can place his order, however, Charlie didn't notice him, she had the music louder in the backroom, so Alexander had no choice but to go behind the counter and tapped her shoulder which gave her an awful fright.

"Ooh!!!!! you scared me! I'm sorry, have you been waiting long? I had my record layer must have been too loud" as she went to the record to turn down the music she apologised to Alexander once's again but his hands started to shake and sweat whilst a nervous blush came across his face.

"No no my dear, I haven't been waiting here long actually, I think you're the one who deserves an apology, I was the one who scared you and I'm pretty sure I'm not meant to be back here!!!" Alexander said nervously.

"Oh, you're right!! you're not meant to be back here, I'm sorry could you wait at the counter please" She said whilst blushing.

"yes, I can wait at the counter" he replied.

"and whilst I'm at it with apologies and everything, I would like to apologies for the paper aeroplane I sent to you yesterday" His voice was getting more broken with each second that went by, he could not contain his nervousness.

"I was wondering who threw that" she blushed even harder "so it was you then, I wanted to thank you, I was having a very bad time at work! That little note you sent me, made my day" She said with her eyes shining brighter and she was also looking nervous, she too liked him.... even if they just met.

"It was nothing my darling, I just think a pretty thing like you, deserves all the thanks she can get for make people like me, smile!" As soon as he said that he turned a bright red.

Charlie also turns bright red due to an idea she had, but she went through with it anyways. she closed her eyes and leaned in and kissed Alexander on the cheek which made his face go into shock!

"W W W-What was that???" He said whilst trying not to stutter

"That was a 'thank you kiss', have you never heard of them before!!" she said nervously and jokingly however she was still shocked at what she did to him, she wasn't like this usually.
