A week later, I had hired more employees to be waiters, janitors, and just to fill all the jobs we needed filled before we opened. Mike even helped me put together a video for the new employees so they knew what to expect rather then dragging all of them around to meet the animatronics and hoping they wouldn't run off screaming.
Tomorrow we were supposed to open, so I was running around making sure everything was ready. Mike was touching up repairs on the animatronics, Howard was prepping the kitchen for the next day, and Funtime Foxy along with Circus Baby were in charge of decorations for opening day. I was mostly making sure everyone did their jobs and nothing was forgotten about.
Funtime Foxy was hanging a welcome banner in front of the entrance. "Hey, Jax, can you hand me some tape? Lolbit got a bit too carried away and ripped the banner." He said as I checked up on him. "Sure." I found a roll of tape on a nearby table and handed him a peice. "Thanks." He said as he fixed the tear.
Circus Baby was decorating the main room with balloons along with the help of BidyBab. I waved to them and went to make sure the door to the other stages was locked. Afterwards I decided to check on Mike, Funtime Freddy had broken Bon-Bon again, despite his promise not to.
"Look, how was I supposed to know Ballora wouldn't catch Bon-Bon? You should really be mad at her." Freddy was arguing. "Freddy, Ballora is blind of course she isn't gonna catch him!" Mike yelled. "Oh." Freddy simply said, realizing his mistake.
"Sorry." He continued. "Sorry? Maybe you should've thought that through! We're opening tomorrow, I don't have time to keep fixing you guys from your own idiocy." He snapped. "Am I interrupting something?" I asked. "No, I'm just getting tired of fixing Bon-Bon so often. At this rate Lolbit will steal your hat again and flush it down the toilet!" He ranted.
"Is everyone all fixed up for tomorrow?" I asked. "Yeah, I just need to finish tightening this screw... and... I'm done!" Mike said, setting his screwdriver on the table next to him. "How's everything looking out there?" Mike asked me. "Pretty good, the animatronics are decorating, and Howard is prepping the kitchen. Everything else has already been taken care of, we're all stocked up on food and prizes, everything is working, the animatronics have a bunch of shows prepared, so we're good to go.
"I never managed to find someone to man the Prize Counter, so I might end up doing that tomorrow." I explained. "Actually, you'll need to man the restaurant, so I can watch the Prize Counter for you." Mike offered. "That sounds good, thank you! Now I need to make sure everything is still running smoothly." I said, going back to the main room.
Everything seemed fine so I went into Pirate's Cove to make sure everything was okay. The pirate ship that was in there looked pretty cool, I had to admit. It was themed to be a shipwreck, concrete made to look like sand and sea plants around it. There were a few different ways to get inside the bottom of the ship. Once you got inside, there was a treasure chest that could open and gold coins and jewels were inside, although they were stuck together so kids couldn't just take them.
There was a small captain's courters in the back for the kids to play pretend. There were windows and little barrels inside as well. There was a wood ladder that lead from the bottom of the ship to the top, but there was also a rope net hanging over the side as another way up.
On top there was a steering weel and little cannons accompanied with colorful plastic balls to fire out of them. There was a mast that was broken to emphasize that it was a shipwreck but it was also broken because having a whole mast and sail would be pretty expensive.
There were even toy swords the kids could get at the Prize Counter. Overall it was pretty cool and I figured the kids would love it, and so would the original pirate Foxy once I got him.
Nothing seemed very out of place, I just straightened out the chairs that were there for the parents to keep an eye on their kids from. I left to make sure the rooms we weren't going to use were locked up and I locked the Employees Only door.
Circus Baby and Funtime Foxy finally decided the decorations were perfect and they all went on stage to practice their preformances for the next day. There was a sign outside the restaurant advertising the grand opening.
I told Mike and Howard to make sure they got a good nights rest and left to go home, hoping for the best.
