A New Friend (Chapter Two)

     The animatronics didn't do very much that night, Ballora danced around the halls, Funtime Freddy argued with Bon-Bon, Lolbit wandered the arcade, playing the games, Circus Baby stayed on the Funtime's Stage to practice singing, and Funtime Foxy explored the passages behind the walls. It was nice that they didn't try to kill me, but I was concerned about some strange sounds I heard coming from the vents, I decided it must have just been a rat or something else that had found its way inside.
     That morning I got a call from my friend who was also running a Fazbear Location, he was the main reason I took the job running this one actually.
     "Hello, best friend!" He said when I picked up. "Hey, what's up?" I asked him. "I just wanted to let you know I have this employee that has done some maintenance on my animatronics, he's amazing! He even fixed Lefty for me, and he was hit by a bus! Can you believe it? Anyways, he said he wouldn't mind helping you with your animatronics if you ever need it." My friend said.
     "That would be really nice, I still need to hire someone who can fix the animatronics. Are you sure he won't mind running back and forth between our locations? They're pretty far apart..." I pointed out. "He lives right in between our locations so it wouldn't be any farther then he has to go to get to my place." My friend said.
     "Alright, what's this guy's name?" I asked. "Oh, he goes by Mike. If you want I could send him over there sometime this week." He offered. "Sure, that would great. Thanks, Noah." I said. "No problem, man." He said cheerily. Just then I heard a crash on his end of the line, which was followed by yelling. Noah sighed. "Looks like I have to go, you know how the animatronics get, goodbye!" I smiled. "Bye." I said, I heard Noah shout something and then he hung up.

     Later that day I was talking with the animatronics, trying to figure out some song ideas for them to preform on stage. "Until we get more animatronics, you guys will have the main stage to yourself and I'll block off the hallway that leads to the other stages. Lolbit, you'll be on your stage in the arcade, you can come down and walk around as well, and help kids that need help with things in the arcade while you're on the ground too." Lolbit nodded in understanding.
     "Circus Baby, you can go in for birthday parties while the others are doing their shows on stage. Ballora, you can do the same. The rest of you will only need to help with birthdays if the kids request for you you to be there.
     "Freddy and Foxy, you guys can take turns wandering around the building and playing with kids. Make sure to check up on pirate's cove every so often and make sure everything is going well in there. BidyBab and the Minireenas, you guys can do whatever you want, just make sure you're nice to the people and help them if they ask for anything, got it?" I asked. They all nodded.
     "We'll need some songs for you guys to preform, do any of you have ideas?" I asked them. "Oooo, we could sing Join Us for a Bite, that's one of my favorites!" Circus Baby said. "Sure, just maybe change some of the lyrics for the kids, alright?" Circus Baby nodded in agreement.
     The others came up with a few songs to preform, and with that settled I let them go practice the songs. I got a notification on my phone saying that some of the supplies I'd ordered had come in. I went down the elevator and walked to the storage room, just then I noticed that the Minireenas along with BidyBab had followed me.
     "Make sure you guys stay out of sight, you wouldn't want to scare the delivery man." I told them, they seemed to understand so I walked through the door and found my way into the loading dock. There was a delivery man getting out of his truck, he walked over to me.
     "This is the prize shipment and the dishes and utensils that you ordered." He told me, I signed a few papers and walked over to help him unload the truck. He pulled out a box, "Where do you want these?" He asked me. I showed him the door to the storage room. I figured I could sort them out later.
     Pretty soon there were no boxes left. The delivery man thanked me for the help with unloading. "Of course. If this place was open, I would go get you a free pizza from the kitchen." I told him, he laughed and went on his way.
     The Minireenas and BidyBab came out of hiding, Bidybab helped carry one of the boxes upstairs for me with the help of the Minireenas. I managed to pick up two boxes, a Minireena opened the elevator for us to get in. We set the boxes down on a table in the main room. Lolbit, not having a whole lot of songs to practice, came up to see what we were doing. "These are the prizes the kids can win at your arcade, and the utensils and dishes for the kitchen." I told them, earning a nod.
     Lolbit came with us to carry more of the boxes upstairs. Soon, we had brought everything upstairs and all we had to do was unpack it and put everything away.
     We had fun seeing the different prizes, the animatronics got excited when they saw toy versions of themselves, the big animatronics and BidyBab were plushies, but there were action figure versions of the Minireenas and the Maryionete, who we didn't have just yet. After the other animatronics finished practicing on the stage, they came to see the prizes as well.
     "Wow, look at mini me! I'm so cute!" Bon-Bon exclaimed. Funtime Foxy asked if he could keep one of his, I didn't see the harm in losing one, we had plenty more left over that I had separated and put into the different cabinets behind the prize counter.
      Later, most of the animatronics went to play lazer tag and I headed back to the security office. I really need to put up an add to hire somebody for this job before I get too sleep deprived. I thought with a yawn.
     As I sat in the security office chair, watching the security cameras, I heard faint animatronic laughter. "G-goodni-i-ight, night gua---rd." The voice said before breaking off into its broken laughter again. I sat up and looked around, the laughter faded and I heard more scraping from the vents.
     Something else was here, not just the Funtimes, that was something new. I just didn't know what it was yet. I made myself stay awake the rest of the night to make sure the voice didn't return, luckily it never did. But that didn't make me feel better.

     The next day, Noah texted me saying Mike would be over at my location sometime that day. I told the animatronics about it and I told them to be on their best behavior once he got there. They agreed and went to practice singing and preforming until he arrived.
     I was supposed to get ingredients for food that day as well, which reminded me that I still had to hire a chef and a night guard. This job was proving to be tiring.
     I heard a knock on the door so I went to see who it was, it turned out to be Mike. "Hey, you must be Jaxon." Mike said as he walked in. "You can call me Jax. You must be Mike then?" I asked. He nodded in confirmation. "What animatronics do you have here, Noah didn't really give me any details." Mike asked as he followed me inside.
     "Well, for now, we just have the Funtimes here but I plan on buying more after we open." I explained, for whatever reason, Mike didn't look too happy about me only having the Funtimes.
     I walked up to the stage where most of the animatronics had powered themselves off. Ballora was still on. "Hello, dear, who is this?" She asked me. "Hi Ballora, this is Mike, he's here to be our repair guy." I told her. "Welcome to the team." She greeted. He thanked her a bit awkwardly.
     I powered the others on, the only one that was rude was Funtime Freddy, but I had expected that. "Calm down Freddy, if you keep that attitude he might just let you break." I warned, Freddy grumbled something in annoyance, it must have been pretty rude because Bon-Bon started to scold him for it.
     "Don't mind Freddy, he just likes being annoying." Circus Baby apologized. "Hey!" Freddy complained. "I'm Circus Baby, your name is Mike, right?" Circus Baby continued ignoring Freddy. "Yeah, that's me." Mike confirmed. "You seem familiar..." Circus Baby said. Mike looked a little uncomfortable so Funtime Foxy introduced himself. Bon-Bon introduced himself and Freddy. BidyBab waved at him, so did the Minireenas.
     "It's nice to meet all of you." Mike said. Just then Lolbit came running. "You guys did the introductions without me?! I would expect this from Freddy, but come on, guys!" They complained as they hopped on stage. "Hey!" Funtime Freddy yelled. "Sorry, Lolbit, we forgot to get you." Circus Baby apologized, ignoring Freddy again.
     "I'm Lolbit, as Baby already said, nice to meet ya!" Lolbit said. "I'm Mike good to meet you too." Mike said.
     After that, I showed Mike around the building, the animatronics followed us and explained what the rooms were for to him like I had explained it to them. It made me laugh. Finally we got to the Employees Only area and I showed him the Security Office and Parts and Service. I had already showed him the repair station that was backstage so we continued on down the elevator, the animatronics stayed upstairs.
     As I was showing him the storage room I heard another metallic laugh from the vents and stopped talking mid-sentence. "Did you hear that too?" I asked Mike. "Yes, what was that?!" He asked me in return. "I honestly have no idea, I was kind of hoping I had imagined it." I told him.
     "I have two guesses on who that was." Mike said. "Shoot." I told him. "That had to have been either Molten Freddy or Ennard, they're both amalgamations and sound something like that." He explained.
     The amalgamation spoke up again. "We-welcome to th----e t-t-team, Michael." It said before breaking off into broken laughter again. Mike looked very uncomfortable with that.
     "That sounded like Molten Freddy, it had to be." He finally concluded. The voice laughed again. "Ding! D-ding! Go---od guess-s, Mich-a-ael! Do y----ou want-t a p-prize?" The glitched voice mocked. "Oh shut up, Molten." Mike said. "And stop calling me that." He added which only made Molten laugh harder.
     Molten's laughter trailed away accompanied by the scraping sound I kept hearing. He didn't speak again after that. "Why is he here." Mike asked me. "I have no idea, your guess is as good as mine. I heard him last night while I was watching the security cameras but I just thought it was because I haven't slept the past few days." I explained.
     "Wait, don't you have a security guard?" Mike asked. "No, not yet, it's just been me so far." I told him. "You know what, get some sleep man, I can watch the cameras tonight." Mike said. "Are you sure?" I asked him. "Yeah, it's no problem, I don't have work tomorrow so I can just sleep in." He said. "Alright, thanks." I told him.
     We headed upstairs and I told the animatronics to behave and that Mike was in charge until I got back. They all agreed except for Freddy, Lolbit promised to tie him up if he caused problems, Bon-Bon offered to help them. I stayed to get the delivery of ingredients before I left. I wished Mike luck and went out to my car and drove home for a good night's rest.
