They lie to us, oh you know
Hollywood.
They produce these fantasy filled romance movies
And leave us with this wrong perception of love.
We fall so hard in love because its suppose to be that way right?
Butterflies in stomach and raced heartbeats
Muttered speech and sun kissed cheeks.
Everything's on a bed of roses, only smooth sailing.
Or they base their story line that we always get the one we want in the end and they live happily ever after
But they don't ever tell us about the part.
Where silence consumes their appetite
And you're screaming and shouting for them to understand.
You're up at 3 o.clock with blood shot eyes and your sheets feel like the river bed
And you're begging God to help you understand
Cause its never suppose to be this hard.
he has to love me, and she'll always come back.
She has too. She's all I need.
Hollywood's a lie because that hardly ever happens.
You never get the one you want because they want someone else
And you believe and you wish upon the stars that'll work out for you because your mind is filled with the non sense of television's silly allusions.
You imagine long walks and Sunday picnics
And endless phone calls from morning to night
And then it ends up in flames and your heart is shattered again.
Who'd you blame? I'd blame Hollywood
