yeona sighed before standing up to change her clothes, it's not like she hated the idea, she can't sleep as well, and late-night coffee sounds great.
she wore an oversized hoodie along with jeans, she sighed again. "it's 12 am and I'm wearing jeans, who am I again?" she huffed, before turning her gaze towards the calendar on her study table, "a week, and I'm back to hell."
since it's spring break, yeona stayed home, she hated the idea of spending the whole spring break with her annoying dormmate, Gisselle. (She's not that annoying, yeona is just being a hater, don't stan yeona MYs)
as the Japanese decided to not go home for the whole spring break, she decided to stay at the dorm, she has OCD, the room is expected to be clean and neat when yeona came back. (a/n: IRL Gisselle don't have OCD (at least I don't think so, I'm not her mom or something), it's part of the story)
they both never talked, AT ALL. I mean they have patted each other shoulders to hand something or tell each other to wake up, but other than that they never interacted. "i don't even have her phone number, how am I suppose to know her well-being?"
not even bothered to put any makeup on, (cuz she's pretty on the outside and inside #softgirl #happyvibes #kindness #spreadlovenothate) yeona directly put on her shoes.
and at the right time, jake texted her saying he's in front of her house, she took her phone and purse before walking out (she don't care if her mom gets mad, it's not like mom's going to if she told her she was with jake)
"we're u asleep?" Jake asked as he continued to drive, "no, I have insomnia." she simply replied, "have you tried drinking water?" jake stupidly asked, causing her to look at him,
"water freshen you up, not puts you to sleep, that's melatonin's work."
"then have you took it?" yeona nods, "but i stopped for a while since i have quite a lot of assignments to do."
"at what time do you always slept?"
"if i finished doing them early, 3 am? if tiktok seems to look pretty and scrolly, 6 am?" jake sighed. "you should fix your sleeping schedule,"
"says the one bringing me to a "coffee date"" yeona air quoted, causing him to laugh. "wait to speak of a coffee date, what cafe opens at midnight?" she asked him, as the boy calmly shrugs making her groaned.
yea they didn't go to a cafe.
instead jake brings her to some 24/7 store, where they could sit down for a while, and because jake is a ramyeon lover, they stayed to eat it there.
"you're the one so stupid to just agree to what i say.."
"yea i was distracted, also i was craving for some ice coffee," she muttered. not caring anything the boy said, she plugged on her earphones, her AirPods went missing. (not really, nayeon stole it)
"what are you listening to?" yeona looked at him, before giving him one pair of her earphones.
'so suddenly i'm in love with a stranger, i can't believe she's mine. now all i see is you.. with fresh eyes.. fresh eyes..'
"andy grammer?" he smiles. " you like his songs too?" she nods as she continued eating her ramyeon. zoning out to the window in front of them.
after spending a whole half an hour, eating and knowing each other more. "wait so the girl your brother was trying to save was my sister?" yeona turned to the boy, receiving a nod from him.
"is your brother hot?"
"he's the same age as your sister."
"tch don't you have another way to gatekeep pretty things?"
"what do you- HEY i'm prettier than him!"
