"Reyna?"

Reyna turned around so quickly, she got whiplash. She was in the process of putting on a shirt, and she could feel herself blushing as she quickly pulled it on.

"What are you doing here, Pipes? And, uh... why didn't I hear you come in?"

"I- I knocked, but you didn't answer, so I figured..."

"So you figured you'd come in anyway, sure," Reyna finished.

"Sorry," offered Piper. "Um... if it helps, I was worried you might be having a heart attack."

"What? Why?"

"'Cause I knew you were in here, but when I got no response at all..." Piper looked a little sheepish. "Anyway, uh, sorry again."

"No, that's... I appreciate your concern," Reyna told her.

"Rey?"

"Yeah?" Reyna turned to face her properly, noticing that she was uncomfortable. "Is something wrong, Piper?"

"No, nothing's wrong." Piper took a deep breath. "I, um, I got you a bracelet." She handed Reyna a small box that she hadn't noticed before. "Kind of for pride, but it just seemed like a good time."

Reyna opened it carefully, and saw it was a very elegant bracelet mixing silver and gold - just the colours of Aurum and Argentum's fur - engraved with the praetor on the outside and i love you on the inside.

"It-it's okay if you don't like it," Piper said quickly. "I just- I just thought, I mean, it seemed like something you'd like-"

"Pipes," Reyna cut her off. "I love it. It's beautiful. And it looks like it was made for me. Thank you."

"Of course," Piper said. "I'm glad you like it."

"Did you mean it?"

"Mean what?"

Reyna carefully turned the bracelet inside out to show the engraving - i love you, in beautiful cursive. Piper nodded.

"Yeah. I- I love you, Rey."

Reyna smiled. "I love you, too. I... don't think I knew how to tell you."

"Happy pride, Rey," whispered Piper.

"Happy pride, Pipes."
