'Young Miss, you were in a coma for three years.'

>....................<

John looked at the petite and lone girl in the bed.

When he told her that she has been lying in bed for three years, there was no change in her expression that made him bewildered.

In his views, John would presume this day to be where he will have to see her weep, or even throw a tantrum and get angry, upset, or hate him. He would gladly accept. After all, that fateful night was his fault.

Any girl would.

He just told her that she is in foreign lands, surrounded by foreign people.

He just told her that she was in Coma for almost three years.

But it was nothing compared to what he had guessed. She was calm and did not show any resentment. What made him bewildered is when she told him that she remembers and she forgives him. He had never seen such a girl like her.

'I see.' The only thing she said at him. No Resentment, No Hostility.

'Mr. John, I think you are not a bad guy like what I thought at first so may I know why were you following me that night and why Am I here?' She asked him in a low tone. Searching for answers and he is more than willing to let her know everything.

'Young Miss I - -' John was about to explain but she cut him off.

'Please call me Elisia, I'm embarrassed that you are calling me Young Miss since earlier.' Elisia said and scratch her head.

John saw how kind and humble the girl is.

'Alright. If that is what you wish Elisia.' John said that made Elisia smile.

The conversation surprisingly escalated into a friendly and harmoniously chat that made John astonished and somehow made his heart at peace.

'I was hired by someone with the job to protect you, Elisia.' John saw the confusion in Elisia's eyes so he continued.

'On that very night, my employer told me to look after you, I've been following you since then. Then I got a call and was told that if my target chooses to flee, I am to bring her back. That was main my job in which I fail.'

ELISIA

I looked at him with lots of questions in my mind. I don't know anyone who wants to protect me.  I don't know anyone who was willing to look after me. This has never happened in my past life. I never knew or saw this man before.

'May I know who was it that hired you?' I asked him but before he could say the name, His phone rang. He picked it up from his pocket and looked at the screen, he looked back at me before he answers the phone.

'Yes. Right. I understand, I will do that.' Then I saw him ended the call.

Oh. that was fast, it was like he was given an order and he gladly accepted base on his respectful voice and answers on the other line.

'I'm sorry about that.' He said politely and I nodded my head meaning it was all okay.

'That was my employer. She knew that you have finally opened your eyes and she said that she was glad and she asked me to let you know that she is currently in another country but she is on the plane now as we speak to come and see you. She said she will be here tomorrow.'

He explained. So that was his employer...

'Mr. John, who is your employer? Do I know her?' I asked him again the important question

'Yes.' He answered, he pauses but continued.

'The person who asked me to watch over you is Madam Xandra, Xandra Graham.'

I saw him sigh and I was confused. Why would someone as high and important as her hires and send someone to protect me? Why did she care because there is a big difference compared to my last life where she was akin to a fire that would lit up when I'm around. She refuses me and would often slap me in the face.

She absolutely detests me in my past life.

And now I hear she cares? Why?

'That night, she told me to bring you back so I followed you. When you got down from the bus, I was tailing you and wanted to talk to you. Normally, I would knock someone down to make them stop but Madam said that I have to be gentle. Maybe because of my face, you got scared and ran resulting in that incident. Again, I apologise. It was all my fault. I haven't done the job properly.' He explained.

I see.

So that is what transpired.

In short, It was all my fault.

I looked up to him and said

'Please do not blame yourself. It was not your fault at all. It was me who ran and being clumsy.' I told him.

'Why are we in Britain?' I asked the second biggest question in my mind that he gladly answered.

'The reason is that this place is one of the best places when it comes to complicated medical cases. Elisia, when you fell, It was so bad that you have to undergo multiple surgeries and so, the Madam had decided to transfer you here, to England where it has the best doctors and facilities. The best health care system in the world' He said and I can see from his expression the guilt and pity. It must have been very troublesome for everyone especially for him.

'I understand.' Then I looked at my thin hands.

It must have been very expensive. The fare and medical fees.

I lifted my head and saw Mr John looking at me like he wants to know what I'm thinking.

'Mr. John, This doesn't look like a hospital' I said

'This estate is the home of Madam's close friend. This place is in the countryside located in the northern part of England. You were first confined in one of the best hospitals in the city and after one and half years, when they made sure you are in a stable coma, they suggested to transfer you here.'

My heartthrob. So I was in a death and life situation multiple times? How ironic, it would have been nice to be dead than to burden someone.

I looked at Mr John.

'Thank you Mr John' I told him and I saw his eyes grew bigger. He looks surprised, then the next second, he looked confused.

'Why - - Why are you thanking me?' He asked me.

'Because you stayed. You must have been feeling very bad and guilty, I can see by the way you knelt earlier. But please, I'm really alright, it was all my fault and you got into this. Also, I'm so sorry for all the troubles. You waited for me to wake up, didn't you? It took a long time. It must have been hard on you.' I explained and said

'I'm sorry and thank you very much.' and I bow my head slightly.
