Chapter 28

Shoto's POV

  After I was able to calm her down I had an idea, it will get her out of the house and maybe she'll feel better. "How about this, you can take a shower, get all clean, and then I'll do the cold therapy with your scars, to get them less irritated. Sound good?" I asked, she nodded.

  "I can go make some tea, would you like some of the tea Yaoyorozu gave you?" I asked, she nodded again. "Okay, I leave you to it." I said, poking her forehead. She blinked, putting her hand to her forehead where I poked her, and got off the counter, going to the shower and turned it on.

  I left her alone to go start the tea. Walking into the kitchen, I took the tea kettle and filled it up with water, putting it on the stove, I started to boil the water. I went into her cupboards and found two grey glasses, made for tea, and set them out. I then took out a steeper, and put some tea leaves in.

  While waiting for the tea, I decided to text Uraraka, Midoriya, and Iida to tell them how Mizuki is.

  Shoto: Hey, it was a lot worse than we thought, she hasn't had the energy to take care of herself, so I'm helping her, right now.

Uraraka: Oh no! How so?

Shoto: She hasn't been drinking nearly enough water, with how sad she's been. I don't know if she's eaten, and I'll ask, and she hasn't taken a shower in a week, since the start of her break, and her bandages looked like they haven't been changed. And her skin is irritated from the bandages. So I told her to take a shower, and I'm making tea to comfort her. She also looks like she hasn't been sleeping properly, I'll ask my father if I can stay, and hopefully help her.

  Iida: Thank you for inforcing proper self care. It is highly important with what she's going through.

Shoto: Of course, it makes me upset to see her like this. Truly.

  Midoriya: Todoroki, do you think she would be up for visitors?

  Shoto: Sorry Midoriya, I don't think she is, she almost didn't let me in. I'm going to see if I can take her outside, a walk might help her feel better.

  Midoriya: Oh no problem at all! I just want to respect her wishes right now, if she let you in, I feel better knowing one of her friends is with her, she shouldn't be alone.

  Iida: I agree! At the least it is our responsibility as her classmates and close friends to check on her well-being!

  Uraraka: Yes of course! Todoroki be sure to keep us updated on her, and ask for me if she would be up to seeing some of us tomorrow since it's the weekend!

  Shoto: Of course, I've got to go, I think she's out of her shower now. Keep you all posted.

Everyone gave goodbyes and I put my phone away, just as I was about to go upstairs the kettle started to whistle, I took the kettle off, and put the steeper in the kettle. And then I went upstairs, I knocked on the door.

  "Y-Yes?" She asked, "The tea is done." I spoke back, she opened the door, she had her wet hair down, with her glasses on. She was wearing something clean at least.

  "O-Okay." She said, I moved to the side to let her come out of the bathroom, and I followed behind her, down to the kitchen. There I pulled the chair out for her, and she sat down, I pushed the chair in for her.

  I then poured the tea that has been steeping. I brought the cups over to the table, and then the kettle, and sat down across from her. "T-Thank you, again." She mumbled shyly. I nodded, "Of course." I said back taking a sip of the tea.

  "How do you feel?" I asked, "My skin feels better." She said, I nodded, "Good." I said back and then decided to ask her a question "Hey I've got to ask you something." I said, she nodded "May I stay here with you this weekend? I don't want you to be alone." I asked. She looked at me, "You want to stay here?" She asked.

  I nodded "I would feel better, knowing your doing better." I said back, she looked away from me, thinking for a second. "O-Okay, but you have to let your family know." She said, I nodded. "I will thank you." I said, she nodded.

  "Also, Uraraka, Midoriya, and Iida wanted to know if your up to seeing them tomorrow?" It looked like she wanted to say no, but she didn't want to hurt their feelings. "You don't have to see them, their just worried about you." I said, after she didn't answer.

  "I-I'm not ready." She said closing her eyes, while she held her tea. "Thats okay, they'll understand." I said, she nodded. "I-I'm sorry." She said, shakily. "There is nothing to be sorry about, Mizuki." I said softly. I know she felt bad about saying no, but if she's not ready they'll understand.

  Once we were done with our tea, we went to the couch and I started the cold therapy, starting with her right arm. It looked like she was going to fall asleep with me doing this. While I was focusing on her left side after finishing her right, she layed her head on my shoulder.

  I was finishing up on her leg scars, and I put my head on hers, letting her fall asleep on my shoulder. Continuing to finish up the therapy, I took out my phone and sent a picture.

  Shoto: I got her to fall asleep.

  Uraraka: Good job Todoroki, make sure she's getting sleep tonight.

  Shoto: Okay, she also said she's not up for visitors, she's very sorry. But I'm staying the weekend till school starts on Monday, so she's not alone.

  Midoriya: Okay, thank you for the update, and tell her not to worry about not wanting to see visitors, it can be much. So tell her not to beat herself up.

  Iida: Yes! But don't forget to brush your teeth tonight. It is important in self-care!

  Shoto: Of course Iida, I'm going to get her up so I can put her to bed.

  Iida: Okay! Good Night!

  Uraraka: Sweet dreams to the both of you!

  Midoriya: Yes Good night, talk with you all tomorrow!

  Shoto: Okay good night.

  I said, then going to my sister's contact.

  Shoto: Fuyumi, I'm going to be staying over at a friend's house for the weekend, she needs someone to stay with her, so she's not alone. I'll come get some of my things tomorrow.

  Fuyumi: Okay Sho, I'll tell dad, Have a good night.

  Shoto: You too....
