20. There's no place to go but Down

Y/n, Harley and Ivy had been taken to the Gotham courthouse as they sat in handcuffs. Behind them were members of the public who had been called in to watch the trial about to take place. 

"This is bullshit!" Harley says angrily. "This is a kangaroo court." She then points out.

 "No way. We got a real judge and everything." Two face says appearing from the side now. "Hey, Judge, get in here." He calls out. 

A door opens now and stood behind it was Bane dressed in a judges robes with a wig worn over the sides of his mask.  "All rise for me." He says as he moves to sit in the judges seat with a gavel in hand.  

"Bane's the judge?" Ivy asks in disbelief. 

"You must be joking..."  Y/n says rubbing his eyes with extreme frustration. 

"I promise you'll get a fair shake. I am unbiased." Bane says to the three. 

"Well, he's actually telling the truth, which is really annoying." Two face admits grumpily. "So I took it upon myself to provide you with Gotham's top litigator." He then says as the door open again to reveal Man-Bat. He strolls in with hands as he tries to hold papers in one hand and spilling coffee in the other. 

"Oh, we're so fucked." Ivy groans putting her head in her hand. 

"Let's not judge a lawyer by the fact he's a bat." Harley says to her.

"The defendants are charged with the murder of Oswald Cobblepot and other stuff." Bane says looking through a large file. "Counselor Man-Bat. How do your clients plead?" He asks.

Ivy whispers the three's intentions to Man-Bat and he nods before standing before Bane. He attempts to say not guilty but all that comes out is horrible unintelligible shrieking.   

"Yeah, we're fucked." Harley concedes now.

One of the penguins goons was sat in a stand as he gave testimony. "And then, she bit The Penguin's nose off." He says causing the crowd to gasp.

"She bit The Penguin's nose off." Two Face repeats before he begins to shake his head. "Mm, mm, mm. Is Harley Quinn who definitely did that in the courtroom today?" He then asks.

"Yeah, that's Harley Quinn." The goon points to Harley but Man-Bat shrieks in an attempt of defence.

"Does anyone speak bat?" Bane asks the courtroom. "I want to sustain or overrule, but it's indecipherable."

"I next call to the stand one of Harley's crew members." Two face says as he points to Y/n now.

"A kangaroo court indeed..." Y/n comments as he rises from his seat now and is taken to the stand.

"You are a member of Harley's crew. Correct?" Two face asks.

"Incorrect. I am not a member of Miss Quinn's crew. I am her friend and a mentor of sorts." Y/n answers and Two face rolls his eyes.

"Yeah, Yeah. But you have been present during her several crimes against the injustice league." Two face points out.

"That is Correct, as such my actions are of my own choosing." Y/n answers.

"And was Harley Quinn responsible for the death of the Penguin?" Two Face asks now.

"No. She was not." Y/n says calmly.
