To say that Vera Prince was an enigma would be the understatement of the century. Her mother, Irene Black was a Quillette shapeshifter, daughter of Ephraim Black, the Quillette's chief. And her father, Julius Prince was a cold one, a blood drinker, a vampire.

Now their star-crossed love story is for another time.

If her being half vampire, half werewolf didn't make her unique enough she had a powerful gift, likely given from her mother, who was an incredibly beguiling woman. With the ability to control desire Vera had always gotten what she had wanted.

Having been raised by her father and her father alone- for her mother had lived a measly two months after her birth- was out of touch with her werewolf side. That's not to say her temper isn't just as nasty as Paul Lahote's, as they would all soon find out when her father moved them back to Forks, Washington.

There they get roped into the Cullens' drama. Carlisle being an old friend of her father's, they couldn't not help when they learned of the newborn army coming to destroy his family.

When the Volturi finally show up Vera Prince finds herself unable to pull away from his gaze. There, on the battlefield she finds her imprintee and mate. What a shame he came from such a notorious coven. Looking at the family that had all but considered her their own and the man she knew she belonged to, she made her choice.
