The girl is now fifteen and oh boy, did life just get more difficult. I mean, her boyfriend just died right in front of her! It looks like it's up to the thirteen year old Foolish to cheer up his sunshine.

Stupid tears. The stupid tears that felt like they would never stop rolling down her face. It had been a week. A week since Schlatt had died. He had died in a way that Y/N hadn't even thought was possible and it disgusted her. He was practically boiled alive, right in front of her eyes. And she couldn't do anything. He had died and she hadn't done anything to stop it. He had smiled at her. He had smiled at her in last moments before the death message ringed through the comms. It hurt. It had hurt her. She might never see him again. That was a very likely possibility. They had never found out how many cannon lives he had. He could've had only one. He could be dead forever and the thought of that hurt her. They had been too late, too. Dream, Techno, and Wilbur had broken into the underground facility far too slowly. Schlatt had been dead for almost fifteen minutes when they had broken in. They had released Y/N from the netherite chains that had kept her in place. Wilbur and Dream had tried to comfort her. She had gently pushed their comfort away. Techno handed Y/N a bottle of water without offering comfort. She was thankful for Techno's seemingly emotionless acts at that moment.

"Let's get you home, Y/N."

Y/N had looked pathetically over at Wilbur. She swallowed the water and saliva that was in her mouth. She looked at Wilbur, a look of eternal sorrow in her eyes. She answered in a rasp of a voice, no hope behind the simple word.

"Ok."

It absolutely shattered Dream's heart when he heard how she sounded. The girl he loved so dearly, who he had had to hide his not so platonic love from, was absolutely wounded. Maybe not physically, but emotionally. The person she had loved so much, who she had put so much love towards, was now dead. If it was possible, Wilbur and Techno were even more heartbroken. The little sister they had grown so used to ignoring, the one who had showed up at the house just three days ago, happiness lacing her voice as she told them and their dad that she was pregnant with Schlatt's kid. That girl was gone now. She was now just a broken husk of who she used to be. And that leads to now, a week after Schlatt's death. They've tried getting her to eat and to drink and she barely accepts any of it. They tried talking to her and she just ignored them. The girl now sat in her room, her tear infested eyes never bothering to look away from the wall in front of her. She knew where she was. She was at the home her family used to all live in when they were a decently kept together family. She wasn't in Schlatt's arms, at their shared apartment, like she had been dreaming about. Just days ago, her and Schlatt had been talking about how much they had loved the idea of a child being brought to their family soon and now he'd never be here to see it. She couldn't believe a week had passed without him, like the world wanted to move on and let her continue her misery. Oh, how the world was cruel. She also couldn't believe that in around six months was when the doctor had estimated the baby would be here. Oh, how Y/N wanted to believe it was a cruel joke. Her and Schlatt had both believed that she had only been carrying the child for a month. Now, it felt impossible for her to die. She didn't want to die while carrying a child who hadn't even been born into the world. It was just in her nature to think like that. To always try and think about others before herself. She still didn't want to eat or drink, though. Everything, even the little things, reminded her of Schlatt. She heard the door make the clicking noise she had brown so accustom to. She sighed, the grieving having taken a bit of a toll on her.

"Wilbur, Techno, Dad, if you're here to try and make me feel better, please get out."

She could feel the shift of the bed as someone sat down beside her. She looked over to the nightstand to see a tray of food with chocolate milk, a piece of cake, mushroom stew, bread, and a collage of vegetables. This couldn't be Wilbur or Techno or her Dad that came to see her because that was one of her favorite meals on that tray and only two people knew of her favorite meals. And that was Schlatt and Foolish. She looked over to her right to see who had sat down on the bed and to no surprise, it was Foolish. The thirteen year old boy nervously chuckled, looking at Y/N.

"Nope. It would be me, Foolish. Am I allowed to be in here to try and brighten your mood, sunshine?"

Y/N couldn't help but slightly smile when Foolish used her nickname. It reminded her that people still cared. It wasn't just out of pity. Foolish had always known how to cheer her up and make her feel better. Foolish was definitely her best friend, and she wouldn't have it any other way. That still wouldn't change the fact that the person she loved the most was dead. She sighed.

"Yeah, but don't try too much."

"Well, can you try eating at least one of the things on your plate. I got some of your favorite foods hoping you would eat. Even if you don't want to eat for yourself, you could eat to make sure you keep the baby alive."

And that was what got Y/N to eat the most food she had had in the past week. She didn't want to eat for herself, that was what Wilbur and Techno had been misunderstanding. If she was going to eat anything, it was because she wanted to keep the baby alive and healthy. Foolish just smiled, happy to see his best friend taking care of herself. He gave her a kiss on the cheek and continued to smile at her. Y/N just smiled back. Foolish hadn't fully realized the difference between romantic and platonic but the kiss on the cheek was meant in a fully platonic way and Y/N knew that. She was glad to have her best friend by her side. He always managed to make her feel better.
