As everybody was clapping and cheering on Ben. Miranda grab Callie's hand and pulls them out of the room.
"Wait wait Miranda i didn't even get her number please let's stay a little longer" Callie whined

Miranda pulls Callie through from the back of the club to the exit. Miranda let's go of her once they got to the car.
" Miranda wait" Ben yelled while running to them
"oh hey did you forget the part in the club where you almost got me killed a couple of minutes ago" Miranda said being sarcastic with a smile
"Miranda i am so sorry that should've never happened to where you are we're almost killed. The man you were talking to we go way back and he just pisses me off everytime i see him i just want to beat his ass you don't understand"

"Mhmm" Miranda got in her car and went home and Callie left as they pulled up to Miranda house.
Ben watched her drive off remembering at the last minute to ask for her number.

Miranda walked in seeing Rosalind on the couch watching tv.
"Hey Bailey how was the club"
" your brother almost got me killed" Miranda said nonchalant going to her room and went to bed.

Next morning

"Morning dr. bailey I've been assigned with you this morning what do we have to today" Meredith said standing next to her
" your chippy this morning had a good night sleep?" Miranda said walking in elevator.
" sure you can say that" Meredith smirked reminiscing about her late night activities with Derek.
"Don't forget there the hospital is merging with mercy west so there will be other interns and re..sid..ents"

Miranda had her gasped mouth open seeing Ben walking with Dr.Shepard stopping at the nurses station with navy blue scrubs on.

Making both of them look at the elevator seeing Miranda and Meredith. Ben eyes opened wide in shock then smiled and winked at Miranda. Derek smirked and also winked but at Meredith.

The elevator door close and there was a awkward silence between them two till Meredith broke it.
"So you and the new guy—"
"I don't want to talk about"

It was slow day so Meredith and grey were mostly charting. Miranda suddenly thinks about what happened last night dozing away from reality.

"Bailey...bailey....DR.BAILEY"
"what grey" Miranda said annoyed
"we have incoming"
They gowned up and waited outside for the rig.

" we have 24 male with gsw on chest,arm and leg and a bruise on his side. He is stable now but had to resuscitate twice on the way." first responder said.

Miranda instantly knew who the male was and it was Micheal from the club who wanted to kill Ben.
"Grey page dr.Webber and Dr.Burke and book a OR"
Micheal checked his pupils and there were dilated. The other doctors came in and went straight to work then took him to surgery.

Miranda wondered if Ben saw this surgery on the OR board.
As Miranda was done scrubbing she started on  fixing the patient but the during the surgery she felt someone eyes staring at her. looking next to her and in front of her and it wasn't the doctors... it was the gas man.

"Take a picture it will last longer but it would be way better if you was more focused on the patient or your little crossword puzzle rather than staring at me." Miranda said looking up at the gas man and it was Ben.

"Well hello to you too dr.bailey" Ben said.
"You two know each other" Burke asked
"Oh yea me and him go wayyy back in fact he almost saved my life" Miranda said sarcastically.
"And also apparently this patient is your buddy right?" She also said sarcastically

Ben was confused until he looked at the patient seeing that it was Micheal. It was Ben's first day and the first thing he didn't do is realize is what was the patients name and who was the patient.

Ben clenched his jaw and starts shaking his leg. Ben didn't know how to feel about Micheal.
"dr.warren are you okay?" Miranda asked seeing Ben's whole body language changes.

"Nurse page dr.Knox"
"He's in a another surgery" a random nurse said
"Tell him let's switch." Ben got up and left the OR.
"Good job bailey you ran off our gas man" dr.Webber said.
"In all due respect chief he should've never been in here anyway this is friend. We have rules for a reason" Miranda said looking at Chief and Burke then going back to work.

Minutes later Dr.Knox came in to cover for Ben.

The surgery was done hours later and the first thing she did was look for Ben to see if he was okay.

Miranda couldn't find Ben anywhere. She asked around till she saw dr.Knox and asked have he seen Ben.
"Oh he went home early once we switched surgeries." dr.Knox said
"Do you know why"
"No all he told me is that he needed to go. Why is something wrong"
"No i was just wondering but thanks" Miranda said then continuing on with her day worrying about Ben.

Once her shift was home she went home and she walked in seeing Rosalind with tuck watching a movie.

"Hii mommy me and Rosalind was watching a movie you want to join" tuck said running up to her hugging her.
"no baby mommy has to work tomorrow."
"Awww." Tuck said making a sad face
"Hey Rosalind have you talked to your brother?"
"Yea why"
"I was wondering because he left early today"
"Oh ok and i was meaning to tell you i got my car fixed so Ben won't have to pick me up anymore"
"Okay that good" Miranda said calmly but deep down wanted to see more of Ben.

5am
BEEP BEEP* BEEP BEEP*

"Why is my pager going off in the middle of the night....2 GSW I'm not even on call"
Miranda called Rosalind telling her to come to the house while tuck is sleep and she quickly gets dressed, leaving her key under the rug outside the door.

"Good dr.b your here your not gonna believe how many dumb people there are at night-" Cristina said walking next to her gowned up also.
"Shh I'm not even supposed to be here right now. where's the rig?" Miranda said

They heard the sirens get closer and saw two rigs pulled in.

"We have a gsw to the arm and is stable but his the one looks worse."

"Jordan" Miranda said confused.
"Oh thank god it's you Miranda. Ben is not okay you need to check on him "
"Cristina you take him. I have the other one"

"We have a GSW in the abdomen and shoulder, Bp is stable but bleeding out from abdomen."

"Omg Ben....Why in the hell is everybody getting shot? Is it a trend now a days?" Miranda said looking at him upset holding pressure on the wound then moving the stretcher inside the building.
