"Hey Rosalind you need to come to the hospital"
"Why what happened"
"It's your brother he's been shot and I'm about to go into surgery with him but after he is going to be on bed rest so he is going to need family by his side"
"Okay I'm on my way"

Ben was unconscious and heart rate was stable. Miranda looked at him took a deep breath and started working on him and taking out the bullets.

After finishing up, she went to the waiting room looking for Rosalind and she was sitting there anxious to hear for any news.

"Hey Rosliand i have good news. The surgery was successful and he is going to need a lot of rest. I am unsure of when he is going to wake up but he is in the ICU stable and is going to need a lot of rest. Visiting hours are about to start so you have plenty of time to see him.

"Oh thank you dr.bailey i really appreciate you for saving my brother and also giving me a job. I owe you so much if you need anything just call me." Rosalind said in relief hugging her tight.
"You welcome"
" can i see him now?" 
"Yea come on"
Miranda showed Rosalind to his room then left.

She went straight into a on-call on room and went straight to sleep till it was a time to get up again.

Ben started to wake up and opening his eyes.
"Ben...Ben can you hear me?"
"Yea Rosplease lower your voice"
Rosalind started crying for joy and kissed bens forehead.
"Ben you almost gave me a heart attack. You are the only thing i have left. It will literally kill if you didn't make it.

Instead you wanted to be a idiot and hang out with Jordan and them gangbangers" Rosalind hitting him after every word.

"You Know I'm still in the icu and your gonna make be break a stitch."
"Whatever" roz rolled her eyes.
"Wait How did you know i got shot and where am i?"
"Dr.bailey told me everything you idiot and grey Sloan" Rosalind responded looking her phone.

Hours later Miranda was still asleep in the on-call room sleeping.

"dr.bailey....dr.bailey....why do i have to be the one to wake her up" George said tapping miranda.

"somebody better dying or Im putting you on scut."
"Ben warren the gsw came in last night is awake" George responded.

Miranda woke all the way and got up.
"Why couldn't you just have led with that Jesus" Miranda said jogging to bens room.

"your finally awake huh" Miranda said walking in the door
"yup and i think anything with guns is my second specialty you think"
" i agree" Miranda goes to sit next to him looking him in his eye.
"Thank you" Ben said in a heart warming smile.
"Don't thank me thank Jordan he the one that called the ambulance".
"How long will i be on bed rest I'm still a doctor."
"for at least 2 months and you will be taking therapy too before you get to come back"
"Do i get nurse bailey too?"
"Did you know that my name tag says M.D in the front of my name"
Ben just sat there in silence with a grin on his face.
"Why are grinning at me like that"
"because your beautiful"
Miranda gasp and blushed looking away from him.

"Let me take you on a date when I'm not hooked up to machines and IV's"
"I might be busy"
"Being busy doing nothing. If you don't want to go with just say that"
"No it's not that... i just haven't been on a date since my ex-husband"
"That's going to change soon"

There was knock on the door and it was dr.Webber with two policemen behind him.

"Hey chief is there something you need" Miranda said with concerned.
"these policemen needs to talk with mr.warren" chief responded
"You want me to get Rosalind" Miranda said looking at Ben.
"No don't bother" Ben responded

Miranda walked out and the police officers walked in and closed the door.

"Chief they know this man is still in intensive care right now and he's legally not obligated to say anything to them."
"Bailey that man probably committed a crime"
"With what proof?  police are always trying to make a innocent black man guilty" Miranda said looking through the little window and at them talking.

Richard just looked a bailey and she looked up noticed him staring.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
"I know what's going on?"
"What's going on?"
"don't play dumb bailey. The way your defending him is making me suspect your already his wife."
"Chief there is nothing something wrong in showing compassion for someone" Miranda said getting flustered.
"Mhmm" Richard walked away.

Miranda got paged to the ER and throughout the days she didn't have time to go check on Ben till she is was done with everything.

It was late at night by the time she was done. Miranda looking at his chart and saw that he'd been transferred to another a regular room.

She went to his room and walked in seeing him making out random female. She felt her heart break and her blood boil at the same time.

Ben looked at Miranda then pulled away from girl. 
"Miranda it's not what it looks like"
" uh uh nope you don't have to explain anything to me goodnight." Miranda said leaving out. Miranda

"Who is she"
"Can you leave please"
"I thought we going to have sex" she whined.
"Veronica do you not see me. I'm in a hospital bed still in recovery I'm not having sex with you plus we're not together and I'm over you so please leave."

Veronica grabbed her stuff and left.

Miranda went to the resident lounge to grab her stuff and left the hospital trying to figure why she felt some type of way of him when she saw him kissing somebody else. It took her by the time she got home to realize that she likes Ben.
