"Ha! Finally decided to show up huh, Kim Taehyung? After three weeks, Taehyung. Three weeks. That's when you turn in for practice?"Taehyung tried his very best not to roll his eyes at his coach. He hated anyone and everyone pointing out his mistakes. But, it was also the person he highly respected pin-pointing his laze.
"Sorry coach. Been busy lately."
"With what? Playing around? Is that what captains are supposed to do now? You are supposed to lead the team, Taehyung not bring them down. Being a captain doesn't give you the liberty to goof around. Take some responsibilities as a captain should, that's all I'm saying. Don't slack around."
The mint-haired refused to meet his gaze. Coach was right. He had been playing around. With girls, guys, anyone his eyes stuck on. He ditched his basketball practices when it was a crucial time before the Season games began. For what? Just his primal desires? Yes.
They have know quite a number of trophies, that's for sure. But every sharp sword needs to sharpened once in a while. Keeping it in a scabbard would only rust the weapon, and then needless to say, it's the downfall of the armed forces. He couldn't do that to his team.
Not that his guilt would stop him from doing what he does, but he was ashamed that his coach knew all of it. One of the many things he least appreciated. Disappointing his coach, that is. He mumbled an almost inaudible 'sorry' and started with fifty lapse around the court as a starter of self punishment.
Rigorous practices were all that Taehyung needed at that moment. To make up for his slacking responsibility as a team captain and as a player, he pushed himself harder that day.

"Team that's about it for today!"
Even the call could not budge Taehyung's practice session. He had to perfect his moves and skills. "I'll be staying back for sometime, I think." Taehyung looked back at his teacher from where he was taking a water break. The coach, who was busy ticking off some boxes of skill progress list, nodded too indulged in his work.
A towel hung loosely around the team captain's neck and sweat dripping down his million dollar face was a sight anyone would be willingly to pay for. Somehow, the one and only Jeon Jeongguk was able to witness the sight. Jeongguk's breath hitched.
This, their meeting was more likely to happen sooner or later, if not for Taehyung's procrastination, it would have already happened. He rehearsed this moment so many times, to face the heart throb without stuttering. Or at least be able to stand without his legs wobbling. Now, it's highly and likely...manageable. It's his foolish heart though, which could not be tamed whatsoever.
Same abnormal, thrums all over again.
Taehyung placed his sipper down, noticing the one face that's been etched on his mind for a good few weeks now. Baby, his mind called out. With a lousy infamous smirk of his, he slowly approached the boy, who conveniently tried to ignore his presence.
