Jeongguk stirred in his sleep, droopy eyelids threatening to fall shut notwithstanding his efforts. That, because he would gladly do so. It was not every morning Jeongguk wakes up feeling so glad as he was feeling now.
He remembered those fluttering chiffon drapes from the previous time he had collapsed on that bed. And that woodsy cologne with a strange softness of musk was an odd — the most unique — combination that never fails to tingle his senses.
Has the spot next to him always been this biased to have such god-like man in his peaceful slumber? He watched intently, those long eyelashes, thick eyebrows and silky threads bathed in sunlight falling over the porcelain majestic forehead. "Taehyungie hyung, I did not sing for Yoongi hyung." Jeongguk confessed. He could not help those words tumbling down his lips. "As if you will hear me in your sleep. I just- I did not," he sighed.
"I know, baby." His eyes grew wide, seeing hazel orbs peep through those eyelashes. Taehyung hovered above him for the boy to lay back on the soft matress. "Yoongi hyung had told me and being the shit head that I am, I tried to blame it all on you. Just some reason I needed to clear off shits." The mint-haired caressed the younger's cheeks who was rather busy staring at him in wonder.
Taehyung above him clarified his dreamy looks. The silver head had never been one to run after looks but this man, the gods themselves must be admiring the fairness in his facial features. His eyes were different from last night and the days before. "You're not. . .mad at me?" Jeongguk whispered.
Taehyung felt guilty of the timid undertone to his voice and the expression masking that ever glowing face. "I can never," he uttered as softly as possible. How could he even consider pushing him away when the older boy being pissed bothered Jeongguk so much? Relief wiping the distressing frown off his face brought Taehyung some serenity.
When did these tiny elements matter to him? Almost as if they were nerve-racking inhabiting the younger's countenance. Those does eyes could suck in all of Taehyung's time and he would not even complain. Instead he would rather invest his time to sit and stare, differentiating each of Jeongguk's detail. Now, why — he did not know nor would he cramp his peace of mind with certain thoughts.
Touching the proximity between the two, one could mistake them to have been enveloped in their space bubble — just how lost they were, unable to pick up on the movements around them.
"You fucker, get off my best friend right fucking now!"
A high pitched intruding voice was all it took for Taehyung to jump off the bed while Jeongguk pulled the comforter all the way to his eyes, hair sticking out like bunny ears. "Why is Jeongguk here? On your stinky bed, asshole?" As abnormal was the screech, abnormal was the pink hair nestled on his head and Taehyung's elder brother snickering behind him like a high school girl enjoying the live drama.
"I thought I was your best friend, you lame reprised version of Sakura!" Taehyung face contorted to nothing but a ridiculed betrayal. "A—Annoying as fuck." He drawled.
