Cheers enveloped the heavy air, devouring any ounce of nerves that settled in the players. Arriving the upstate, a basketball match followed up the very day.
Jeongguk huffed as he eyed his surroundings. Not having Yuki by their side at this point sure bit them back. Taehyung had realised it the moment they stepped on the court. It's evidence reflected on his face and the game too.
The substitute player was playing his first game as a replacement in the Seasons, that too weighing on his luck, in a semi-final. Pressure had to make its appearance sooner or later, and it did. This match against the home team was especially tiring when the player was nervous.
"Hey, it's fine." Taehyung smiled at the substitute. "Win or lose, let's give it our best, okay? No one's blaming you I'll make sure of that. Just give me your best." His boxy smile was enough to make any one fall in love with him.
Jeongguk being especially infected with his love, could not help but stare even if the message wasn't meant for him. He just stared. He said the same to Jeongguk on his first match. Taehyung was so different, so difficult to read at times like these.
Despite that, Jeongguk loved him. Smiling to himself, the younger pushed himself to make sure he wins this match for his University. For his Taehyung. Jumping recklessly, unbeknownst of a player blocking him like rigid, Jeongguk charged in.
A long whistle blew with Jeongguk landing back on his feet. He huffed. Barely managing to pass the ball through the hoop in the blink of an eye, he fell back on his butt. "We did it, baby!" Taehyung looked so angelic. "Baby . . . "
That being the last heard, Jeongguk blacked out.

A white line shone brightly above before it was obstructed by a head. Refocusing his vision, Jeongguk smiled. "Hyung . . . "
"Hi baby, you did so well today." Taehyung patted Jeongguk's head with a courteous smile. "Don't tire yourself again like today, alright?" Jeongguk hummed. His heart eyes were so obvious and the older couldn't overlook it. He caressed his cheeks and planted a tender kiss on the younger's forehead.
"You're so cute."
He whispered only for him to hear. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. "Goodness Captain, you're hopeless." They too sweet together. Toothaching sweet. The boys behind him chuckled. "Anyways, Cap we're going out. We took permission from Coach, he specifically told you not to overdo yourself before finals. So feel free to join us. If Gguk's fine, that is."
Taehyung flicked his forehead. "Koosung you speak too much nowadays. And thanks for the offer, I think we'll just stay here."
"But Tae—" Hearing the boys chuckle at the petty whines, Jeongguk blushed. "I wanna go out ok! Stop laughing at me . . . I so hate y'all." Taehyung hugged the grumbling boy and gestured the others leave, while they will be joining them soon.
