Hi hi!!! How are you? <3

THIS IS THE LAST CHAPTER BEFORE WE GET INTO CANON!!! :D!! Not the best I've written and the end feels rushed to me, but my brain won't rewrite it so, sorry!

I prefer comments to votes, but I like both!!!

"What is this?"

I look at Emma from beside Norman as she brings her hands up to rest on the large metal bars.

"It's a gate. It connects the inside and the outside."

I frown and look back at the woods we came from. Technically, we're not supposed to be here. It wasn't even that interesting. It was abandoned and the one window we could reach only showed a dusty room. So, all we could do was stand in front of the forever closed gate and talk.

Which we could have done at home.

"Hey! Hey, Y/n! Did you hear me?"

I shrug and latch onto the shirt of the nearest person to me, which happened to be Ray.

"I asked what you wanted to do if you could go outside! I want to ride a giraffe!"

"Oh." I look down for a bit, thinking.

"I wanna... I wanna be free."

Ray looks over at me.

"Free? Free to do what?"

I shrug, grabbing the same bar Norman was holding.

"Every sense of the word, I guess."

"You don't make any sense," He huffs.

I grin at him, "Thank you."

Norman mutters something under his breathe, catching my attention.

"What was that, Norman?"

He doesn't answer, a bit lost in thought, so I point to the ground just beyond the gate.

"Look."

"What?"

I poke his side with my free hand, making him jump.

"Look! Our shadows are holding hands, you know what that means, right?"

He shakes his head.

"It means you're stuck with me, got it? I've got a bit of your shadow, and you got mine, let's stick together, yeah?"

He smiles, "Yeah."

*Fact: Y/n took Timmy's drawing off the wall.*

It doesn't take long for someone to open the door, and, as it turns out, that person is Ray.

His eyes are wide as I push past him and he hurries behind me.

"Y/n, what's going on, why were you outside."

I ignore him as I climb the stairs, heading right towards Mama's room.

Isabella's room.

As I go to grab the handle, Ray pushes my hand away.

"You can't go in there."

"Tch, watch me."

Right now, it's a waiting game, and as I sit on her bed with Ray in the corner watching me, I wonder, for the first time, what makes a villain.
