Tommy packed away the last of his personal items in a bag. Most of the items in the palace were going to be left there, too big to be carried over a hundred miles to the Manberg Empire. They were leaving tomorrow.

Tommy walked through all the halls of the palace, re-living the memories from each and every spot. He fell here. Philza told stories of when he was a fighter here. Mother painted here. Techno trained here. The flashbacks were endless. Soon, he would have nothing that would channel those memories, with all but a wisp of them left behind. He hated thinking about it.

Leaving the palace, Tommy trailed around the main city, grasping for anything of the past life to try and take with him onto the new one.

Though he had lived here all his life, he was struggling to find memories hidden in town, probably because all he did there was ride through it.

Tommy took the long way back to the palace to try and find at least one more old thought. On the way there, the leaves rustled and a figure zoomed out of the trees.

BANG! A net pushed Tommy onto the ground, dust immediately scattering among the once-clear path. Tommy blinked rapidly as the dust swirled around his eyes. The figure's shadow appeared slowly as the dust started to clear. Forcing himself to open his eyes, Tommy saw a brown-haired man who couldn't have been older than 18, with a black jacket and a crossbow in his hands. The guy saw Tommy and jumped back in surprise.

"Prince Tommy!" The man awkwardly shoved the crossbow away and fumbled with the net. After Tommy got up and brushed himself off, awkward questioning began.

"What the bloody hell was that for?" Tommy stared at the crossbow now on the man's belt. It was some weird contraption that shot nets. "Who are you?"

The mystery man shifts nervously on his feet. "My name is Fundy," he manages to get out."I'm a bounty hunter and i was tasked to capture the kin- I mean- er-"

"Did you say the king? My f-father? But why would you-"

"The people have turned against him." Fundy looked down at his feet nervously. "They don't support your fathers decision to surrender and have decided to resist."

"I- well..." Tommy was now the one to look away. He didn't know what to say. Fundy winced as if he had said something terrible and was going to be punished, but Tommy just let it go. "I don't quite understand why D- Philza surrendered either." Fundy glanced at Tommy in surprise, like he thought for sure Tommy was going to be on the king's side.

"Are... are you on the side of the resistance?" Fundy asked cautiously. Tommy didn't answer right away.

"I- I'm not on any side! I just don't get it." Tommy said sternly, though he wasn't sure it was true. He really didn't understand his father's actions lately. But was he against him?

Tommy walked back home in complete silence. Fundy had respected his point and left briskly, still in a nervous stance.

Surrender. Tommy couldn't get that word out of his head. Dad, a strong, courageous leader and king, would surrender just like that? He disagreed with it. There was no argument against that. But on the walk home, he encountered odd thoughts in his head. Thoughts of revolution, thoughts of fighting back. But no, of course he couldn't do that! He, a prince, against Philza, the king? His father?

Tommy already reached the palace. The usual guards swung open the gates, then the doors. It was dinner time by now. Nobody was at the table. Tommy didn't bother sitting down.

Tommy slammed the door shut of his bedroom, almost as a way to conceal his ideas to himself. But they were already violently swarming around. Tommy knew he needed someone to talk to, to decide what he was going to do! But there was no one. Wilbur, Techno, Tubbo... Tubbo! Tubbo and Ranboo would be safe to talk to. Tommy would have to do it after the relocation. Precious time in the kingdom was ticking away. Drifting off to sleep, Tommy's dreams started to fill with war and revolution.
