Tanjiro's body was brought before Muzan. "What is it, Doma?"

"Well, Akaza-dono is dead. He tried fighting two Hashira and got his cheeks clapped. I finished off what he started and brought the body of The Ash Hashira as proof." He lied easily. Muzan perked. "You've done well, Doma. An ample amount of my blood awaits you." Muzan congratulated as he mixed a myriad of chemicals.

"Thank you, master."

"Mm, now tie the body to a pole."

"Why?"

"The author removed his plot armour. But, this boy is ought to be trusted by Kagiya, meaning he knows the secrets of the demon slayer corps. I need to imbue him with Artificial plot armour before all life drains from him." He explained.

"Ok, sure. You do you."

Doma tied Tanjiro up on some polls with his arms outstretched. "This would a mix of my blood, Wysteriaa and a few other things. Wysteria counteracts our powers in this hierarchy. First the strength, then the durability and lastly our healing." Muzan remarked. "His body will instinctively use CB to preserve him as long as possible so if I..."

Muzan injected Tanjiro with the serum. Immediately the wound in his gut healed. His eyes shot up, slits formed. "Where... How... Muzan!"

"How do you know who I am?" Muzan queried. "I remember that scent. You took my family and stripped me of my olfactory senses... I'll never forget. Now, where am I? This is surely no hell or Heaven if you're here."

"Mhm. You're in my lair. I brought you back for one reason. I need information."

"What kind?"

"About your organization."

"What organization?"

"The Demon slayers!"

"Hmmm, never heard of it." Tanjiro lied. Muzan impaled the young man with his claws. "Are you sure?" He growled. "Of course I'm sure. I'm a travelling mercenary." He smiled. Out of rage, Muzan sliced his throat. "Fuck you too."

It healed. "Wait... What did you do to me!" He scowled. "I simply made you a half-demon. Wasn't hard, just needed the right mixture." Muzan declared. "I swear to god... you will die for this!" Tanjiro vowed.

"Gods can't die."

"And you are no god."

Elsewhere

Everyone is still a bit shook at Tanjiro's death. In the span of 10 years, they lost 3 Hashira. ONe to retirement, and the others to demons. It was a devastating blow. It was Kanae all over again. Someone kind-hearted, taken too early from this world with no warning.

"In light of the death of your fellow Hashira, you may have a few days to yourself," Okayata spoke. "Master, I must protest. He's was only another man. We lose them all the time." Obanai spat. "Watch that tongue, Obanai." Muichiro cursed. "Before you lose it." He added. "Is that a threat?"

Muichiro sighed. "In the words of Tanjiro Kamado: No. that's a promise."

"Iguro-kun, I know you've distanced yourself from others, but Tanjiro was no ordinary child," Okayata replied.

"We watched that boy grow. We watched him cry, laugh and become a fine man. It's quite a shame he had to leave us." Himejima sobbed. "How are his students?" Mitsuri queried. "Shook, "Kyojuro replied. "And Shinobu?"

"Broken."

Later in the day, Kyojuro travelled to his home. "Big brother! You're home!" Senjuro called. "Hello, little brother. I need to speak with father."

"He's in his usual place."

Kyojuro stalked inside and carried himself to his father's room. He kneeled. "Tanjiro Kamado... is dead. He died while defeating Upper Moon 3 and his body stolen by Upper Moon 2."

Shinjuro remained silent. "I know you may not care! I know you had no love for him! But he was my brother! I've never asked much from you! All I want now... is my father... I JUST WANT MY FATHER, DAMMIT!"

Shinjuro immediately wrapped his son in a bear hug. "I know... And I'm sorry. Tanjiro may not have been my son... but he is a Rengoku. He may as well have been my son."

Several months ago

Tanjiro had been teaching Senjuro how to use his sword properly. "You're doing good, little brother." He complimented. "Really?" "Yes, you'll be a great Hashira."

In the corner of his eye, he saw Shinjuro looking out from the door. "Keep swinging. If you stop then you'll be out here all night."

Tanjiro walked inside. "Senjuro's learning slowly but surely. He's advanced much since I began teaching him." He spoke. "Oh, so you want a metal? Don't expect any praise from me, boy."

"Oh? Then give it to your sons."

"Excuse me?"

"You've ignored your family for 2 decades. How pitiful. Heck, your actions are why I was born! So, honestly, I blame you for my suffering. But... don't let your blood sons suffer for it as well. They have duties to carry out. Duties you once cherished."

Since then, they had a few talks. Tanjiro really has impacted a lot of people off-camera. I hope one day I can show it to you.

Back at Demon HQ

As Tanjiro hanged from the poles, he endured Muzan's torture time and time again. He spent some time strategizing, other times he'd be fantasizing. "Hey, Tanjiro! You look well!" Doma cheered. "Hey man. Sup."

"The usual, screw a few girls, kill a few criminals. The usual." "Nice. Oh! Hey Daki!, Gyutaro!"

"Hi, Tanjiro-san!" Daki greeted. "Teme." Gyutaro spat.

"You're looking swell." He added. "Yeah yeah. Don't you have something better to do brat!" Gyutaro accused. "Nah, just hanging out."

"Kokushibo-senpai! Did you do something new with your hair? It looks so... fluffy." He noticed. "Oh, not really. I brushed for the first time in 10 years so I guess it's to be expected."

"It's a great look on you, Traitor."

"Thanks, Shoe kisser."

Even though captured, Tanjiro was still affecting the lives of others. Little did he know, he affected Shinobu the most. The fact is...

"Aoi-chan... I was going to tell Tanji-kun when he came home but... I guess that's impossible."

"What is it, Master?"

"I'm two months pregnant."
