"I've noticed this earlier and did not want to point it out..." the prince took Jimin's arms and made it pass through the holes in the robe. The cloth hugged Jimin's arms, but it wasn't too clung around for it to feel uncomfortable. It felt fuzzy, and just... fine. "While trying to help you stand; it seems as if you do not really know how to stand, at all?" The prince inquired. Jimin rolled onto his back, propping himself up using his elbows. He contemplated for a short while before finally giving a hesitant nod. The prince smiled at the gesture, moving to pull the robes over Jimin's front, covering him once again. The prince tied the robes, grinning in satisfaction once he was sure it won't open to reveal any of Jimin's body again. "Let's wait for Yoongi to come back. I'll have him carry you."
Jimin wanted to say thank you, but his lack of voice made it an impossible task. He resorted to nodding once again. Internally, he sighed. He wondered how things are going in the ocean, if his family has realized he had gone missing, or if Namjoon was still trying to cover up for him.
"Prince, are you sure about this? You're going on land. On. Land. You're going to have legs. Are you really going to leave the ocean just like this? Please, I beg you. Please tell me you're just jesting. Everyone would be worried about you, Jimin." Namjoon swam behind him. The merman had his hands firmly grasping Jimin's arm.
Jimin gave him a sigh. "I am certain about my decision; I have spent the whole night giving it thought. I will be going on land. Besides, there are still 12 siblings left, if I leave. It's not like my disappearance would make a big difference. Just one royal child out of the kingdom. It's going to be fine, Namjoon." Jimin turned around. He tried to pry Namjoon's hand off his arm, but the grasp tightened even more.
"It is not fine, prince. You just got recognized as royalty. You cannot just go and throw your responsibility like this. There is no guaranteed future for you on land, but here in the ocean, you will have everything. You can help the palace. You can be the common folk's anchor and model to greatness. You are an important part of the royal blood." Namjoon tried to convince him, his tone growing desperate by the minute.
Hi! I'm working on the second part of the story lol. I'm also putting this on ao3 since that's where I really want this to be on.
Anyways, thank you to those who've put this oneshot book on their reading lists, and to those who are reading the book. I'm genuinely happy and relieved there are at least some people who can read the shit I write.
