This was originally titled "Rivalry" but I had put some thought into it and the thought of Jimin and Yoongi fighting for popularity isn't really that appealing for me. I'd rather have them complimenting each other rather than degrading each other for their lacks.

Jimin has one thing he hates the most.

Fucking up.

He doesn't want a thing ruined when he's on stage. He hates it when he was the one who makes mistakes and he definitely wouldn't forgive himself for it. After all, he was the one who only trained for a short period of time before joining the team, and having a concert was like a dream come true for him.

"Jimin, you're not feeling well. Are you sure you want to go up there?" Hoseok had asked him before. Jimin was indeed a bit sick. His temperature a bit higher than the average, but that won't stop him from performing.

He knows the audience were waiting for him. He doesn't want to disappoint them.

"I'm feeling better now, hyung. Don't worry." He answered instead. He walked up to the stage, feeling heavier every step he took, until he was at the center. The lights turned on, red and making everything around him look blood-red. It wasn't appealing for his eyes that time, and his head started to ache for a bit, but the show must go on, no matter what happens.

He started to sing. Breath, heavy as he danced along to the piece. He turned and swirled on the stage, popping of to the beat, willing himself to feel nothing but the instruments, the music flowing along his body.

But his head says otherwise.

The headache became worse, that he had stop singing a word of the song to hiss quietly at the pain.

And here comes the big part. The high note everyone was waiting for.

Jimin stood there at the center. Eyes closed, singing his heart out like the song and him are one. But at the end of the note, his tone went down.

He didn't hit it.

He didn't hit the note he has practiced on for months.

Those days and nights he spent practicing and the lessons he took just to better his voice were all for nothing.

He shouldn't have came up the stage if he knows he'll feel like this.

The concert went on like how it was supposed to, with people clapping at the end, congratulating them for the group's first on-stage performance.

"I hate myself," Jimin cried once he was inside the van.

Everyone seemed to be satisfied with how it went except for Jimin. He despised himself all throughout the concert despite Namjoon's comforting words, telling him hat it's just fine and there's plenty more concerts out there.
