"Where you tryna go tonight?" Looking up from the book she was reading to see Cepheus entering the room while adjusting the chains around his neck, Cassia rolled her eyes before looking back down.

She didn't want to speak to him at all, not after the way he chose to ignore her last night for the whole evening. She gave him his space that he needed because she didn't like to pry, but her issue was with the way he left out late in the middle of the night, thinking she was fast asleep but she wasn't. She woke up as soon as his arms unwrapped from around her, but she didn't say anything because she knew he would ignore her yet again.

"I deserve that." He spoke through a breath before walking up towards her. Sitting on the side of the bed that she was on, he gently grabbed the book and marked her page before placing it behind her.

"Oh, you want to talk now?" She raised an eyebrow as she propped her head up with her right hand. Leaning down towards her, Cepheus kissed all over her face with his right hand resting on her waist.

"I'm sorry baby." He mumbled against her skin, his hand rubbing up and down the side of her in a comforting manner. Turning her body so that she laid on her back, Cepheus took that as his invitation to hover over her, which he happily accepted. Not giving her a chance to speak, he held her chin while giving her a slow kiss on her lips. Kissing back, Cassia held the right side of his face before pushing him back.

"Where did you go last night?" Although he was a grown man and he could do whatever it was he pleased, that didn't stop her from wanting to make sure he was at least okay. She didn't know what happened in the building before he blew it up, but it was clear something went down from the way he immediately distanced himself.

"I went to the club with some of the boys. I thought I would be back before you woke up so I didn't say anything." Cepheus lied. He did go to the club, but his reasoning for not telling her was because he knew he would end up being entertained by another female. He didn't fuck anybody because he knew he would feel a small pang of guilt after, but he did get head because he needed some type of stress reliever.

"Cepheus you could have told me you were going out, I wouldn't have cared. You were just acting really distant yesterday after everything happened and I didn't know if you were okay or not." Pecking her lips two more times before pulling away and standing up, he kicked his shoes off and took his jacket off.

"I'm good, I wasn't talking to you cause I didn't know how you were feeling or how to explain what you seen. I didn't want you scared of me or nothing like that...are you scared of me?" Cassia's breath got hitched in her throat as they made eye contact, Cepheus' eyes looking completely blank and dull.

"N-no, I'm not." She spoke just above a whisper, clearly lying. But she didn't want to think she was scared of him, more like intimidation because of the things she had seen. She believed him when he said he would never hurt her, but that didn't stop thoughts from circulating her mind when she seen certain things.
