Omniscient
November 29thGathering her purse from the passenger side of the car just as she parked in the garage, Cassia let out a small breath, looking up towards the garage entrance into the house. She honestly didn't even want to get out the car, not having the energy to deal with a distant Cepheus.
It had been exactly 2 weeks since the passing of his mother, and his same routines continued. Not speaking, being distant when he did say words, the only time he really did engage with her was to use her body in ways that made him feel better. Every single night he did that until he was satisfied before leaving out, not coming back until either the early morning or just not coming back period.
Pulling her key from out of her purse, she clenched her phone in her hand as she unlocked the door. Being met with silence and a blank living room, she took a small sigh before closing it and locking it back. Kicking her shoes off, she kept her view on the wall as she inhaled softly, all of this being so difficult to get used to considering it was far from their usual habits.
"Cepheus!" She called out while placing her purse on the couch. She walked barefoot all around the downstairs before meeting with the staircase to go upstairs. Rolling her eyes at the sight of the stairs, she did a small yawn before making her way up in a slight jog, since she always felt that made them go by faster.
Entering their bedroom, she pulled her lips into her mouth at the sight of him. His piercing eyes glued to the entry of the door where she stood, as a Hennessy bottle sat clenched in his right hand. His feet planted into the ground from his body being seated at the foot of the bed, his face hardened and jaw clenched.
"Where the fuck were you?" He spat, causing Cassia to raise an eyebrow. Running her tongue over her lips, she walked deeper into the room while adjusting her pink leggings.
"I was at work-."
"At work with them tight ass clothes on? You tryna lie to me now?" His voice scared her, the emptiness followed by his new found natural rasp brought a cooling sensation over her. Shaking her head, she went to walk off, but she was quickly snatched back by his hand gripping her wrist tightly. "You fucking cheating on me?!"
Looking down at him as if he was crazy, Cassia snatched her hand back before taking a couple steps back towards the wall slowly. But her movements were no use since he stood to his feet as soon as she was out of his immediate proximity. His head going back to take a large swig from the bottle of alcohol in his hand, his feet never slowing down their advancements until he had her pushed up against the wall with him right in front of her. His right hand slamming the wall above her head making her jump.
