Jake's POV:

I pull up into the parking lot of the school and park my car. I look over at Kylie, taking in her appearance, even if she had messy hair and a not very well thought outfit, she still looked amazing. How is it she can look so beautiful with so little effort?

"Uh alright well..." She starts putting a strand of hair behind her ear. "I'll see you later I guess thanks for the ride." She picks up her backpack and with that, she is out the door.

I let out a groan as I hit my forehead against the steering wheel, no matter how hard I try to get her back my tries are useless.

I grab my school bag and head out, locking my car on my way as I enter the school. I pass by Kylie with her group of friends, I honestly don't know why she is friends with them. She is so much better than them, plus they are just...fake.

Kylie looks at me before getting pulled into a close group by one of her friends, at least the one who isn't grinding against a guy. A thing about this school, filled with testosterone honestly some people need to learn to keep it in their pants.

I see Alisha and Frankie walking to their class so I decide to go on and join them. I go on Frankie's side and listen to her story about her new boyfriend. Honestly, I can't keep up with their names they all just mush into one-

"So Jake an improvement?" Frankie asks making me groan and rub my face with my hands.

"No I mean it has been like 8 years so maybe I should just give up, she doesn't even have the energy to have a simple conversation, maybe it was never meant to be." I sigh dramatically making both girls snort covering a laugh, I give them a stern look.

"Well never say never," Alisha says with a shrug, and Frankie nods.

"Who knows maybe someone much more pretty and better like me will come around," Frankie says wrapping an arm over my shoulders making me roll my eyes.

"Calm that ego down will ya," I say.

We split up to go into our own classes, Frankie to Language, Alisha to Physics, and well for me Chem, but I skip that class because it's a useless class anyways. So guess I'll spend my time at the bleachers.

Alisha's POV:

I walk into my Physics class taking a seat at my assigned seat. A few minutes before class starts, everyone is either talking to each other or using their phones. As I use mine, I feel a presence sit next to me. Damn, I was really hoping not having to talk to anyone-

I look over to see Kylie, she gives me a small smile before looking at the front of the class where the teacher came in. After a few minutes, we got assigned to do independent practice with problems from the book.

"Hey, you used to be friends with Jake right?" I whisper low enough so we don't get in trouble, coming up with a plan.

"Uh yeah," She replies still with her head in the book.

"What happened between you two? I thought you guys were great friends, or even more," I shrug putting my pencil down.

"Guess we drifted" She says with a sigh.

"Oh, well he still talks about you," I say, she puts her pencil down and looks over at me, there we go.

"Really?" She asks a bit surprised and I nod. I go to add on but the teacher clears her throat making us turn our heads her way to see her staring right at us. Caught-
