Dear Ruined Ryan -

Caved in the dark,

Screams for the unheard of

With delicious words that can only satisfy the hunger of dimmed souls.

Writing to himself inside the abandoned cave,

That he forgets to remember all those he wanted to reminisce.

Doesn't even remember his own name -

He's just trying to stall out his last days on earth,

Gifted with a skilled brain that uses its thoughts as ink and its nerves as hands

Only to write to forget,

Only to write to delete,

Only to save just to be unsaved again.

The cave doesn't have a lantern hung upon its ceiling

Darkness is his comfort zone -

Darkness is why he's lived so long,

His brain only knows sadness

Light? - Happiness?

They've never crossed his mind while it unraveled his thoughts.

For the sun doesn't shine inside the cave,

For it only sets foot inside the door.

Don't assume it's hope,

It's more so unwanted company -

Those are always needed.

Maybe he prolonged for that?

Maybe he subconsciously has that?

Who knows? - no one.

Not even himself.

He writes in the dark with an invisible pen,

That produces lightened hearts

So he writes again and again

Their eyes thank his words for fixing them.

Sincerely, Ruined Ryan
