I only put the fluff because it ends in fluff but the story is over all angst. Also thank you for the request.
The way I wrote this is confusing cause Rengoku didn't die because in the final round the sun was being to rise so Akaza ended up abandoning the fight. Also red Light District did happen. Muichiro already fought Gyokko and the fight with Hentengu did happen as well.
I had came up with a demon blood art for him as well.

Its was late in the evening, and the sun was practically gone behind the moon. It was a Full moon and Muichiro had a mission, he had to make sure there weren't any demons around the area. While Killing a demon in the forest, he came across a figure, he was tall and had six eyes, although it was hard to tell who it was or if it was just a normal demon. The demon began walking towards Muichiro saying something very softly "You....you seem familiar, child..." Muichiro didn't respond, he just drew his sword making sure he was prepared of an attack. Soon the demon came out of the shadow and what Muichiro saw surprised him, it was Uppermoon one 'Kokushibou...' Muichiro thought. Kokushibou after a few attempts Muichiro failed to hit Kokushibou. He was getting tired but didn't want to give up, after all Master had entrusted him to this job. He soon managed to hit the Upper rank demon a few times but then he spoke again this time pointing at Muichiro"After thinking's about it.... you are most definitely my Descendant..." Muichiro had a disturbed look on his face "H-How...no, I am not your Descendant. I could never be related to someone, no something as terrible as you!" Muichiro could feel the anger build up inside him, normally he could suppress this anger but he was to frightened and worried that what the Upper moon was saying was the truth. "Muichiro there is no doubt you are my descendant. How about you become a demon, I'm sure you will be great at it. After all, we are related by blood." Kokushibou spoke. "No! I can't become a demon I won't become one it is my duty as a member of the demon slayer corp, to slay demons. Not become one of you Oni's!" A fuel of rage and anger left Muichiro's mouth but Kokushibou spoke again "either way you will become a demon, Lord Muzan would surely give you blood considering you are my descendant." And with that he showed up behind Muichiro knocking him out. Muichiro fell to the ground and Kokushibo took him back to the place to meet Muzan, he of corse had to make sure his lord was ok with this kid becoming a Demon and possibly an Upper-moon considering how talented he is. Soon enough they reached the place, unfortunately Muzan wasn't there only Kokushibou's "partners" if that's even the right word. "Who's the girl Kokushibou-Dono." Douma asked with one of his fake smiles, "That's none of your business..." Kokushibou replied while making his way over to a room that he would keep Muichiro in for the time being.

Some Time Later

Kokushibou was waiting with Muichiro making sure he didn't wake up. But apparently once he's knocked out or asleep he can stay asleep for a long time. Soon enough, Muzan arrived. He had called everyone to a meeting, Kokushibou had gotten there first apart from Nakime, but still had the boy in his hands. "Who is that boy Kokushibou." Muzan asked knowing who it was but wasn't sure. "Lord Muzan, His name is Tokito Muichiro and he is my descendant." Kokushibou replied making sure not to say anything that would get him hurt in the process. "And you brought him here...Why?" "Well, I think he'd make a splendid Demon and possibly Upper moon, but it is only your decision to make not mine my lord." "Ah, I see..I'll think about it for the time being considering he's a demon slayer and he is your descendant." Once the conversation was coming to an end Muzan began the meeting. Kokushibou stayed with Muichiro because he didn't want the others to try and eat him, mainly Douma and Daki considering they think Muichiro is female. Everyday consisted of Muichiro waking up, not remembering what happened, seeing that he's with Kokushibou and then being knocked out again. Soon the time came and Muzan had made up his mind, he knew the kid was a hashira and was talented considering he beat Gyokko by himself. He knew the most hashira would make the perfect demon and Uppermoon. Muzan planned that he would turn the child into a Uppermoon and have Kokushibou train him to possibly surpass Nakime and become Upper 4 and Nakime would move down to upper 5. However Muichiro isn't a replacement, he would be an actual demon who is worthy of being an Uppermoon because of his strength, talent and the fact he has great potential, as Kokushibou claims Muichiro is his descendant. He sent a demon to go and get Kokushibou and to make sure he brought the child, "Kokushibou, master wishes to see you and bring the child with you." The low league demon told Kokushibou this terrified but kept it hidden, of corse Kokushibou noticed his fear but hadn't done anything considering he didn't want to waste his time on a weak demon. "Alright, now get out of my sight I can't stand seeing you here." Kokushibou had told her. The demon ran off and Kokushibou was getting ready to leave, he picked his descendant up off the futon that he never really used and went to Muzan. "My Lord, I have arrived...and I have the child, have you considered my offer?" "Yes, Kokushibou I will turn this boy into a demon he has great potential, I can sense it, he will make an amazing upper rank. But you will have to train him." Kibutsuji told Kokushibou this and he was quite shocked that Muzan had accepted this offer but he had no problem training his descendant. "Of core My Lord I will make sure to train him well..." "ok then." And with that Muichiro became a demon. He now had pale skin, a more bright palish blue eyes with a darker sea green color, the demon slayer mark seemed to appear on his face turning a blue color, along with his hair turning black to a Teal to a paler teal color and ears that looked more like feathers starting white and ending with a pale blue on the tips.(he basically looks exactly like the picture).

"Ah, I see. That's, unfortunate, please go inform my children about this.." Kagaya had been informed by Muichiro's crow about the situation with Muichiro being missing, he requested for the crow to tell the hashiras along with the Corp members about Muichiro being missing. According to Muichiro's crow, He had been captured by Upper Rank one, however the crow did not know if Muichiro had died or not. Kagaya was convinced Muichiro most likely died, he may be a talent swordsmen and very strong for his age, but he was up against Upper rank one. "He was so young.." Mitsuri whispered in surprise to herself. "Poor Kid.." Rengoku had been disappointed the Muichiro had "died" after all the kid was talented he killed Upper rank 5 by himself, making him the first hashira to beat a Upper rank completely on his own. "Hm.." Giyu didn't have much of a reaction to it, although it was a surprise to him. "Tch, Damn Demons.." Sanemi had sounded irritated. Obanai didn't have anything to say. Tears streamed down Gyomei's face "Poor Soul..". Tengen didn't say much about it, although he was surprised a kid that talented died. "Ara-Ara.." Shinobu was upset that it had to be a child that went.

It had been a few days since They found out Muichiro had supposedly died in the hands of Upper moon one. But they all had no choice but to move on. Mean while, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke and Genya has gotten a mission together. "You 4 have a mission at in the forests, you need to kill a demon that has been lurking around there." Kagaya had ordered them, "Yes master." The 4 had said. On their way Zenitsu was complaining a bit "We"re gonna die Tanjirooo!" "Zenitsu we aren't going to die, we don't even know how strong this demon is." "Stop complaining, we don't even know if this is a Upper rank or just some random demon." Genya told both of them a bit annoyed. "Whatever demon it is I'm still gonna kill it!" Inosuke announced like always. Soon enough while walking around the forest they noticed a pair of glowing teal eyes in the distance. "That must be the demon!" Tanjiro whispered, once Tanjiro said that the others quite down. "Hm?" The demon had heard footsteps but didn't care at first, he didn't really care as long as they don't bother him. Tanjiro was able to get a look at the demons eyes when it turned around. He noticed that the words engraved on the demons eyes said 'Upper 4' he had told the others about this "Isn't that a corps Uniform though?" Zenitsu asked "Yes it is, that demon could have been a Demon slayer before becoming a demon." Tanjiro was aware of the situation, apparently Muzan had replaced Hentengu with this demon. "I'm gonna fight it." Inosuke had told the others trying to run after it, thankfully Genya held him back "No we need to make a plan for this Inosuke we can't just go fight it!" Genya had yelled quietly. While Genya was reprimanding Inosuke, Tanjiro was thinking of a way to defeat this Upper rank. "Hm? What was that sound?" The demon questioned, "he what have heard you!" Tanjiro had said. Inosuke stopped moving around for a minute. The demon began to walk closer to where they were but the could only see the demons eyes and some of their clothing, the Upper ranks eyes are glowing a teal color. Tanjiro had assumed that the demon was fast concerning he had already made it near the tree they were behind. "Who are you...?" The demon had asked 'He has a shadow on his body this way we can only see his eyes, he must want to hide his identity...' Tanjiro assumed. Zenitsu had went to look around so he doesn't know about the demon being with them, and inosuke? Lest just say he had went with Zenitsu after Genya unhandled him, Nezuko was asleep in the box healing. Meaning, it was only Tanjiro and Genya face to face with this oddly clam demon. Tanjiro didn't reply and still had his sword out, "So you not going to answer me? Oh well.. I'm not hungry right now, follow me." The demon offered "This is odd.." Genya had noticed how care free the demon was being, it was kind of suspicious, Genya knew the demon was hiding something. Soon enough the demon introduced its self, "By the way...I'm Mui, just call me that." This demon, it was familiar. 'It can't be him! Could it...?' Genya and Tanjiro had realized how familiar that Nickname was, it reminded the both of 'Muichiro..' "if by chance are you able to remove your shadow so we can see you?" Genya asked eager to find out if it really is him, and that he is not dead. "I will soon, once we get to the stream it should start to disappear." Mui had clarified. "Oh ok." Genya had replied, Tanjirojust nodded in agreement, he knew he needed to kill this demon, especially because it's an Upper rank. But the only problem was that, this demon could be Muichiro. Tanjiro still kept his guard up the whole way there. Once they got there the demon Withdrew his sword and placed it on the ground sitting next to it, "My shadow is gone now. Why do you both look so surprised? I'm not planning one eating either of you, I only eat young adults, you are a child like me." Mui had told them. Meanwhile Tanjiro and Genya were shocked. It was really him it was Muichiro! "Sit down, I don't feel like killing you both today." It was odd hearing Muichiro like this, he was always calm but he's threatening as of now, does he even remember them? "Do you remember who I am Muichiro?" Genya had asked, "No I don't know who you are, you are just a kid I want to chat with." Tanjiro could smell that Muichiro didn't remember them at all he could tell Him becoming a demon made his amnesia even worse that it was when they first met. "Muichiro, how bad has your amnesia gotten?" Tanjiro asked. "I do not need to give you an answer." Muichiro was getting irritated you the two and was clenching on to his blade. "Muichiro why did you become a demon, everyone thought you had died." Tanjiro had started to take his blade out and had signaled Genya to go behind a tree and get his gun loaded. "Like I said I don't owe you an explanation, now stop asking me these useless questions before I kill the both of you!" He was still sitting but swung his sword very closely to Tanjiro's neck. He was fast, he would have killed Tanjiro if Muichiro hadn't stopped. Tanjiro grew surprised. He was stuck standing considering if he tried to move Muichiro would for sure kill him in no time. So he ended up signaling Genya to Shoot aiming at something but not Muichiro considering his strength is a large amount, after all he was a hashira. Genya took the signal and aimed for the grown next to them in order to distract Muichiro, "Now," Muichiro was beginning to start up slowly keeping his blade at Tanjiro's neck "I will kill you right here along with that boy, after all, aren't you the boy Muzan-sama wants the head of? I can gladly fulfill that offer, unlike Gyokko and Hentengu I know how to get my job done." Muichiro grew angrier by the minute. 'As much as I don't want to hurt you, I have to do this' Genya proceeded to aim and just like that, he shot the grown. "!" Muichiro was wondering what that was and went over to look at it, giving Tanjiro the time to try and strike him. Genya reloaded and now that Muichiro was distracted he would be able to shoot Muichiro's leg. "I know your angry but we do not want to kill you, if you just tell us what you remember than we can help you!" Tanjiro shouted. Muichiro was about to hurt Tanjiro, he refused to believe or listen to what he was saying. When he tried to hurt him Nezuko had made he way out the box and kicked Muichiro in his stomach. Genya had shot his leg "Tanjiro! Are you alright?!" He heard a familiar voice in the background. "Monjiro!" 'Inosuke, Zenitsu?' Muichiro was already regenerated but had a terrible headache, this Headache want normal, it was something different, almost like he wanted to remember but he couldn't. "Nezuko go get them and bring them here. Also get out of your full form, this demon, we don't want to kill it alright." Nezuko nodded and went off to lead Zenitsu and Inosuke to them. "Argh! What is this feeling?" Muichiro was not doing the best at all. "Muichiro, Canada down! I know you can do it!" Genya shouted, he didn't want Muichiro to die even if he was a demon. Deep down inside the Muichiro he knows, the Mist Hashira, is still in there. "Genya! Come over he's not attacking any more!" Tanjiro shouted, "Out of the both of us-" and just like that Zenitsu, inosuke and Nezuko were back. "Out of all of us you are probably the only one he will listen to! He no longer trusts me as of now!" Tanjiro shouted, Zenitsu was trying to help Tanjiro and Inosuke had tried to his Muichiro a few time but ended up getting hurt in the process. Genya came back and tried taking to Muichiro who was still struggling with his headache, "Muichiro, I know you can get though this! Just calm down, we are your friends not your enemies! Trust me." Muichiro looked up at Genya face to face, and immediately realized who it was "Genya! I-I'm, no!" "Yes Muichiro it's Genya now calm down so we can help you." Genya tried his best to calm Muichiro down, and at that point Tanjiro had realized that it wasn't the fact Muichiro was mad, he was hurting, his memories were coming back to quickly for him to handle. "Muichiro, calm yourself. Tanjiro, Nezuko, Inosuke, Zenitsu and myself all of us are you friends." Genya assured. "Come on Muichiro! I know you can work through this!" Tanjiro shouted. Everything was coming back to light he remembered them now. "I remember now... I remember what happened!" Muichiro was of corse still a demon but he remembered how he became a demon and who everyone was. "Now do you remember? Your Muichiro the Mist hashira not Uppermoon 4." Tanjiro told him. "You are giving off a sent of regret, you regret what you've done. And your sent is telling me that you never wanted to become a demon you were taken and forced." Muichiro just nodded his head, his hair was a bit messy from frustration. "Tanjiro is right, the way he sounds, he's frightened by the state he's put us in. And I'm sure if inosuke was awake right now he would be able to tell as well." Zenitsu assured. "How can I go back? If Muzan-Sama finds out I'll be killed.." Muichiro had a frightened look on his face he looked up at Genya then looked over at Tanjiro and Zenitsu, "Did I hurt you all?" "Yes. Yes you did but I assure you we are just fine." Tanjiro told him. "Is their anyway to help me?" Muichiro asked "I'm sure if we bring you back then Lady Tamayo And Shinobu can create a poison to cure you." Tanjiro assured. Muichiro was still confused and kind of frightened but he did trust them. "How are we gonna get him back? The sun is going to rise soon and he can't walk In the sun." Zenitsu asked. "Hm I'm not sure but we will have to figure something out quick!" Tanjiro had told them. "Maybe theirs a cave near by that Muichiro can stay in until we figure out a way to bring him back to the butterfly Estate." Genya had wondered, "there's a cave over their I think." Muichiro had told them. Nezuko has carried Tanjiro over there and Zenitsu carried Inosuke. Zenitsu placed inosuke down on the ground of the cave and they all sat together while Nezuko was asleep and Muichiro was laying his head down on Genya's lap. "So, when I had to carry Nezuko, I carried her in a basket. So mayber we can find one or make one." "And one of us can put our Haori over him so the sunlight won't reach him." Zenitsu had added on to what Tanjiro said. " I can stay here with Inosuke, Nezuko and Muichiro for now while you find a basket. "Alright come on Zenitsu." Tanjiro left the cage while Zenitsu followed him. 'I will make sure you become human this way you can help us turn Nezuko human.' Genya reassured himself.

"Genya we're back, and we found a basket for him." Tanjiro and Zenitsu came back in the cave with a basket and because Muichiro was already pretty short he easily fit in the basket. Genya took the basket and told Muichiro to come in Muichiro went in with no hesitation he just wanted to be human again. This reminded Tanjiro of when Nezuko had just became a demon. "He's in the basket, now who's gonna put their haori over the basket?" Genya asked. "I can, it should be long enough to cover the whole basket." Tanjiro offered. Tanjiro took of his Haori and put it over the basket. "Can we go now?" Muichiro asked getting impatient. "Yes, but stop being so impatient." Genya told him while carrying the basket on his back. Nezuko was already in the box and inosuke was being carried by Zenitsu because he had a broken leg. After they kept walking, until they got back to the Estate. Tamayo was there already considering Tanjiro had sent the cat to tell her that they needed her help.

They arrived at the Butterfly estate and Shinobu was there, however, Muichiro was refusing to come out the basket even though it was safe. "Ara-Ara! He's alive!" Shinobu was surprised about this considering it was shown that he was most definitely dead. "Yes, he is but he is a demon now, Kibutsuji had turned him by force Shinobu. His sent was fear and Confusion when we got him to come with us." Tanjiro had told her. Muichiro, despite refusing coming out the basket, he was clinging on to Genya's side, almost like he liked Genya. When he was human he didn't cling on to Genya, no, anyone like this. Not even Tanjiro. Inosuke was resting Zenitsu was training considering he broke 2 ribs and Tanjiro was healing as well. "Ah... I see. You need me to work with Tamayo, I guess it will work." "Great! I just need you to create a poison or medication that will turn him, and if there isn't enough for Nezuko that's perfectly fine, we still need her strength no matter how much I want her human now, it's better to wait for her time." Tanjiro had told Shinobu. "If you see a cat that appears randomly, it is most likely from Tamayo just know, that it will bring anything you need from her for the mean time." Tanjiro told her while Nezuko was resting next to him. "Alright, I will do my best, hopefully we can fix this." Shinobu had said. Meanwhile, someone needs to tell the other Hashiras about about this including Oyakata-sama. Because Muichiro has been attached to Genya he can't tell them, Mainly because Sanemi will most likely try to kill him. So they sent Tanjiro's to let everyone know about the situation. "Matsuemon, I need you to tell the Hashiras and Master that Muichiro Tokito is alive however he is a demon but we are working on a way to turn him back. Can you do that for me?" Tanjiro asked. "Caw!Yes Tanjiro! Caw!" His crow agreed and went off to tell them. "Ah! Well that's good to hear. I'm glad he's alive and my children were able to convince him to help us." Kagaya was relived. "That's great, the kid is strong for his age. I'm glad he's alive." Rengoku had told the crow. "That's good to hear." Giyu replied. Mitsuri was surprised he is alive, she didn't expect it at all. Iguro didn't show much of a reaction but he was grateful that the kid survived but now he's an Oni so they may have to kill him before he does anything. "We need to kill him, he's a danger to everyone now that he's an Uppermoon." Sanemi stated. Gyomei was glad that Muichiro Survived but he was upset when he heard about Muichiro becoming an Oni.

3rd POV

"Genya!" Tanjiro called out, Genya was currently with Muichiro staying in the Butterfly Estate, Muichiro wouldn't let him leave. "Yeah Tanjiro?" "Lady Tamayo said she found a cure! She will have the cat bring it over in a bit!" Tanjiro exclaimed. "That's great! But is there enough for Nezuko?" Genya asked, he knew that if Muichiro had some then there hopefully is enough for Nezuko. "....Unfortunately, no, there isn't. They only had enough blood for one Oni. But I'd rather Muichiro take it, even though I want Nezuko human." Tanjiro sounded upset, but he knew that Tamayo and Shinobu could make more as long as he kept gathering blood from other demons. "Alright, but are you sure your ok with this?" Genya reassured, "Yes 100%!" As he said that the cat had became visible again and it had the Poison on its back. "Thank you so much." Tanjiro pet the cats soft fur and let it return. "Alright, now I need you to give this to him." Tanjiro exclaimed while giving Genya the syringe. "Alright..." Genya took it and gave it to Muichiro, in hopes that it would work. "Muichiro? Are you awake?" As Genya asked this Muichiro started returning back to human. His hair turning back to normal along with his features. His purples came back to normal. Soon enough he had woken up. "Why are you starring at me?" Genya was amazed that It worked, he really did think it was going to fail, but thankfully it worked. Tanjiro was happy that he was able to help someone before himself. As much as he wanted to turn Nezuko human, he knew how much Muichiro meant to Genya, when Muichiro was human and the 3 of them hung out, Genya gave off a sent of love, he liked Muichiro. Muichiro on the other hand, had a sent of confusion. He never knew if he liked Genya or not. Because of this, Tanjiro knew that he had to help his friends before he concludes his mission of turning his little sister human again. "I'm so glad it worked!" Genya pulled Muichiro into a hug, and tears were filling his eyes, this was definitely a rare sight to see but it just seemed like Genya was to relived to contain it. Tanjiro left the room, giving them space. Muichiro was surprised by the sudden action, but instead of saying something, he comforted Genya. "It's ok Genya. I'm human now." Genya lifted his face from Muichiro's shoulder and Muichiro wiped his tears. "Stop crying, I don't like it when you cry." Muichiro pouted a little, along with a small pinkish-red hue filling their cheeks. Once Genya calmed down a bit. Genya decided he should tell Muichiro how he feels. "Muichiro." "Hm?" "I like you a lot." Genya confessed. Genya's face grew red from this but Muichiro just giggled a bit " y'know, I've been doubting my feeling towards you, but I've realized that I do like you." Muichiro confessed. Genya laid a small peck on Muichiro's cheek and laid with him. Soon enough the both drifted off to sleep.
Small Bonus: Rengoku and Uzui(brought by Mitsuri, Shinobu and Tanjiro) had listened to the two boys confessions outside the room. "Young love!" Mitsuri fanned over the pair and Shinobu was happy for them as well as Tanjiro. The others just thought it was adorable.

Sorry this took so long to get out. Also I've been thinking about writing my headcanons for them. Also Sorry if it doesn't meet your expectations, it was kinda hard to put together but I managed it even though it's hella long. If any thing is out of character or is incorrect do correct me, I try to do research on things in Japan, but if I got something wrong correct me, I do not wish to offend anyone!
